Re: DTS HDMA audio muxing question
Righto, gotcha both, thanks. I never even considered that the player would decode, but of course it would. Cheers Oz Oddly enough, since it's the only one not documented at all, FLAC is the only lossless track type that's usable as a primary audio track in MP4s for LG's built in player (needed if y...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi everyone. I recently bought a new PC with Windows 11. To my surprise I found that drag and drop on the command prompt doesn't work and as a result I can't use the script at all. Has anyone encountered this problem and solved it? I've never used the script, but I'd recommend just learning to use ...

Re: John Wick 4
Mine failed a couple of times an hour ago (the most it managed was 1.4MB) and I tried again. The download failed at 1.7MB this time but apparently one of the files in there had the key for my disc in it because it's decrypting... so the server is still being flaky but if you get lucky and pull enoug...

Re: John Wick 4
Since I don't know exactly how MakeMKV determines whether a new _private_data.tar is needed and it pulled one on Tuesday, I decided to give moving it out of the makemkv data directory a try to force a new download a try (there's a registry key that seems to indicate it tracks how long its been since...

Re: UHD John Wick 3 Issues
Going into View -> Preferences, and enabling "Expert mode" (and possibly "Log debug messages") should give you more useful output. Are you backing up the entire disc, or just a certain title? John Wick 3 (as a Lionsgate title) may have been one (I haven't backed my copy up in aw...

Re: ASUS BC-12B1ST "Freezing" While Saving
I had exactly the same behavior on an Asus BW-161HT internal drive when the SATA cable was just a little loose on the drive side. As far as I could tell the vibrations when the drive got going were enough to start causing intermittent contact on one of the pins. With the internal drive, this would r...

Re: John Wick 4
3-disc Amazon SE with lenticular still isn't working for me on the UHD disc (haven't tried the regular BDs, I'm making an encrypted backup of the UHD first), but I didn't get it until today so for all I know they made multiple batches with different volume keys to be incredibly annoying... and being...

Re: Return to House on Haunted Hill
Well, the Rifftrax of it is pretty good but they only sell an on-demand of the DVD resolution version or the live show version there (but do have an audio-only track for sale too) so that'd be good enough reason for me. Thanks for the info

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
That error is pretty much always a small scratch, a tiny streak of machine oil, or even a hair on the disk in my experience. I always check the disks before I put them in even if they're new, but there are lots of little flecks of stuff that can get on the disk at the factory that will prevent rippi...
