Can't rip Glengary, GlenRoss Blu-ray

I'm getting the Java runtime error when I try to rip Glengary GlenRoss on Blu-ray: MakeMKV v1.10.2 darwin(x86-release) started Optical drive "BD-ROM ASUS SBC-06D1S-U C101d" opened in OS access mode. Using direct disc access mode Using Java runtime from /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Con...

Re: MakeMKV v1.10.0 generating Java command-line-tool error

I'm trying to rip Now You See Me 2 and I'm getting the Java error. This is on the Mac client and I'm using version 1.10.1. I hadn't seen this error in a while, so I'm sad it's back. :( UPDATE: Worth noting that once this happens, the OS X client doesn't do the cancel of the process when asked. The a...

Re: MakeMKV v1.10.0 generating Java command-line-tool error

Look in each of the paths he provided to see if you can find an instance of the 'java' executable. Your paths may be different than mine. It would require that you have Java installed of course. That's what's confusing - I've never installed Java on either of my machines, and up until this latest v...

I see that the Windows version is broken in a similar way. Any update on the fix?

Re: MakeMKV v1.10.0 generating Java command-line-tool error

I tried both of the Java paths you posted Mike, but neither worked for me. I'm on OS X, latest El Capitan (10.11.6). I do not want to install a Java plugin/JDK to get this working...any ideas? I checked the site, MakeMKV for OS X is still the same version I have now. Interestingly this error only oc...

Re: Why was this site down?

It has been intermittent for a couple of weeks. Rarely has it been unavailable for more than a few hours, but you might not know that if you only come in a time or two per day. I'm here far too often, I think... :( Thanks, good to know! Yes, I only checked 2-3 times the day I needed the software......

Why was this site down?

I'm curious if anyone knows why this site was down for several days? I got a new iMac and came here to download a copy of MakeMKV, and surprised to not be able to. Based on Google searches, this seems to happen every year or two. Does the developer every explain the down time?

Re: skipping/jumping chapters. please help

While Mike and MakeMKV have done, and continue to do a great job with creativity (MKVs, DVDs, streaming, non-JAVA Blu-rays etc.) and wonderful responsiveness and, of course, crossplatform capabilities, that should in no way be viewed as detracting from the first class worthiness of AnyDVD/AnyDVD-HD...

I'm curious, what do you use it for personally? I haven't installed it again since using MakeMKV, since I haven't found a better tool to rip Blu-ray discs to MKV that I then feed into Handbrake to get an MP4 from...

Re: skipping/jumping chapters. please help

Rumor has it, that AnyDVD HD determines the correct track. Hrm, interesting! I used to be a huge fan of AnyDVD, and Slysoft in general, but last year they seemed to just give up - their Blu-ray ripping/converting program had been in development forever, with no sign of release, and they had no othe...

Re: skipping/jumping chapters. please help

What a huge pain in the ass this is when it does happen...makes watching movies hellish. It seems to happen 1 in 4 times for me, so it's more common than it seems. I wonder if there's some programmatic way to detect the right track?

Aladdin Rip Failure (v.1.8)

Trying to determine if the errors below are from the slight scratches on the DVD, or from a software (1.8) failure to rip it. MakeMKV v1.8.0 win(x64-release) started Using direct disc access mode Title #0 has length of 278 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 600 seconds and was theref...
