Re: Setup_makemkv 1.9.2 virus???
never issues with the makemkv setup file, and I use kaspersky set to deep scan. I have used kaspersky long before I discovered makemkv, so when I say never I mean numerous iterations have been scanned.

Re: House - Video artefeact
I do not mean to derail this thread, but I am curious about using the gpu. I have yet to find anything by plex referring to ha and the requirements etc. I see others mentioning how they configure it, but I do not have the option. This thread has opened up a mystery for my ht solution. there are sugg...

Re: Audio goes in and out
Thank you Woodstock. I 'played' with handbrack a while back prior to finding makemkv--I used it, but I decided I did not need it after using makemkv. But then I saw your entry, and had to find out if I could be off the mark with how I process my library. Now I see why you use it, again thank you for...

Re: Audio goes in and out
Actually, my work flow is to have MakeMKV extract all audio and subtitle tracks, period. No transcoding of audio. Then I use handbrake to process that. The only place that would be a problem would be if the audio tracks are TrueHD-Atmos, which Handbrake can't handle right now. I have not encountere...

Re: The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 -correct playlist (m
This is such pointless nonsense by Lionsgate, again with this, I have the UK single release and there is no 871 playlist. Yes, it is pointless especially if you search youtube for bluray playlist obfuscation. That approach has been pointed out here several times--and elsewhere, so take a look and n...

Re: Wanting higher resolution
I use plex server as well, but to xbmc, mostly. I once had the same question but the issue was not all dvds. The fix for me was deinterlace. watch the mkv on a computer with vlc and see if that helps the resolution. vlc has the option to on/off deinterlace. if it only happens on the tv, then it coul...

Re: Video errors converting Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Thank you, Peer. Yes, I used to remember to permit the app to connect prior, but this time I took a deep dive into the abyss. Thankfully I surfaced Just in time to look the idiot.

Re: Video errors converting Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Peer, what do you mean? Were you sent something after submitting the dump? I submitted the dump, but have yet got a response. I am confused how this works, so some guidance would be appreciated. I gather Mike needs some dumps to update the app for the latest movies, but it seems some are ripping the...

Re: DVD differences
my disks are in boxes, so I will give it a look-see soon--from pc. it is my impression that the images should be same, but that is not the case from dvd to mkv for some dvds. for example, faulty towers is also noticeably, slightly, pixelated. I do not get why some dvds are ripped with lessor quality...

Re: DVD differences
Woodstock, Thank you for the reply, and my apologies for the late response; I forgot about my entry until I was watching a pixelated frasier tonight. I know, pathetic. I have no excuses. I am not sure what you are on about regarding the player differences. most dvds I watch on either the ps3 or ps4,...

DVD differences
please explain why some dvd rips are pixelated? the pixelation is not distinct, but the rips are not par with the dvd presentation. for example, my orig star trek series dvds rip with no discernible issues--look great. most dvds ripped with makemkv look great; however, rips like the x-files series (...
