Re: Superman II Richard Donner Cut and Superman Returns issu

Could be an issue with your drive?

Do they play in a normal Blu-ray player?

Re: I, Tonya black bars on all 4 sides issue

MakeMKV copies what is on the disc. Did you process the file after ripping it? Where exactly are you seeing something saying 4:3? Conversion software such as Handbrake have automatic cropping detection options. This movie starts with 4:3-ish scenes before going to the full aspect ratio, so if you pe...

I still use Windows XP Pro on my ripping machine and also for legacy software that I need to run. Windows XP is solid! :)

Check if one has Japanese audio as an option in MakeMKV and one doesn't.

Re: Is it just me having problems with Paramount BR's?

My recent experience is that I have no issues with any Blu-rays, Paramount included, although I've been buying some older Paramount Blu-rays, not necessarily their latest releases. If you're having problems with some discs, let us know what discs and be more specific than "do not rip" - provide Make...

Re: Stargate: Universe Season 1

Often the episodes will be on order on the disc. That's when you're lucky. Unfortunately, no production number at the end of the episodes. Without episode title or production number, my third fastest choice is just jump to the opening credits, and look to see who wrote and directed that episode, com...

Re: Stargate Origins

Just wait for the feature cut? https://www.gateworld.net/news/2018/03/ ... -ultra-hd/ That's what I'll be doing. When I heard about this newest Stargate incarnation (give us SGU S2 on Blu-ray!), I was SO not impressed with the 10-minute web series format decision. Anyway, it's not really a question ...

Re: Stargate: Universe Season 1

Yeah, it's things like this where I agree with the requests made by others in the past - if MakeMKV could by default use the playlist or m2ts number (such as pXXXXX or mXXXXX) for naming files instead of the titleXXX or tXXX arbitrary sequential naming, it would become a lot easier to share this typ...

Re: Subtitles are seriously ahead on Blurays

I almost always watch with subtitles these days so that I don't miss any dialogue while being careful not to annoy my neighbors with sound volume (unfortunately), and I've never had any (original-from-disc) subtitles be out of sync, from the earliest DVDs and Blu-rays to brand new releases. However,...

Re: Alliance Copyright

That description just means that the related title playlist - 83 mpls - is a copyright title card that you might be forced to watch when you play the Blu-ray in a regular player :) Rip it and you'll see what I mean. Discs can be full of those sometimes (especially on region-free discs or multi-langu...

Re: Thor Ragnarok 3D Mpls

Or if you've already ripped the 3D, you can of course just play the 3D version as 2D, rather than making a second rip. Just to note though, in most cases I believe there is painting done to both eyes, it's not just one eye is the original image and the second eye is the modified image. Also, sometim...

Re: Lady Bird correct mpls.

Mine for 964 has the same Segment map, but the File name is Lady_Bird_t01.mkv, and it is not in numerical order, but at the top of the list just after "File 00400.mpls was added as title #0" That's probably because MakeMKV names the files numerically in sequence, and the number of possible titles a...
