Re: Multiple copies of the movie on a BD

Episodes out of order happens all the time. Just depends on how they are authored and if the authoring company is being logical or not. I've seen some weird stuff done by authoring companies and you can tell they're not paying attention. Sometimes the episodes are in sequence, sometimes not. Check t...

Re: I went to 'help' for 'help' but it was NOT much 'help'!.

Instead of a year of searching, you could have just posted on the forum, as you've done now. If Lovely Rita's link doesn't answer your question, let us know, and we'll be happy to help. I have also started a work-in-progress FAQ here, which may help: http://makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16984

Yup. It's just Disney's way of authoring discs, and has been their standard for a long time.

In the case of one with chapters and one without - one is the mpls playlist (with chapters) and one is the source m2ts file (without).

Nope, it's not necessary to post in the forum when you submit a dump :)

Re: Why is the program generating a "_private_data.tar" file

From the UHD section of the forum:
Mike Admin wrote:Starting from version 1.12.0 MakeMKV creates a file called _private_data.tar in program data directory. This is not a dump, do not share this file with anyone (this file contains no sensitive information, but nothing in it needs to be shared).

Re: How To submit new UHD logs

Redfox finally admitted that they stole the keys... Never had any doubt that what Mike said was true. I don't know how much Mike or Woodstock want this discussed here, but I can't resist commenting briefly because man "RedFox 1" gets on my nerves, and there'd probably be little point in making such...

Re: How To Rip a 3d bluray?

Does it matter if it's left-right or right-left encoding? This is for an Epson 3700 projector. It does matter, but I just use the default - which works correctly in my case - and I believe the default is the more standard way to do it. Oh, and SBS (technically it's Half-SBS) is better than Top/Bott...

Re: UHD drives

I'd swear that I didn't have that issue at first, over the last couple months ago from the time I first got my drive and ripped only about a dozen UHDs, but I did today when I ripped my latest UHD. Running 3.00 firmware. Exactly the same as you - kind of harsh / excessive noise when first insert the...

Re: Obtaining FPL_MainFeature from console

Are you using the latest version of MakeMKV? Works just fine for me, although I don't have that particular movie ;) Here is my super advanced batch script ;) in case anyone would like to use it. for /f "tokens=1-5*" %%1 in ('vol d:') do ( set "volm=%%6" & goto done ) :done dir d: /s >"%volm%-disc.tx...

Re: ripped dvd/bluray allways less crisp and a bit blurred

MakeMKV simply copies the video stream (and audio, etc) off the disc, exactly as it is, into the MKV container file, without touching it. So this is really a playback question for the playback forum. I don't use PowerDVD, but my guess is that there is some sort of setting that is processing the play...

Re: How To submit new UHD logs

Is there anyway i can help create the hashed keys? And help free up some of mike's time? I don't see any time concerns at this point, since the turnaround for new keys usually seems to be within a day or two. Certainly a critical mass of commonly-owned discs seems to have been reached with MakeMKV ...

Re: Interstellar 4k rip problems

Im on my 5th US 4k disk. One disk even came straight from Paramount HE Support. When both this (the Nolan collection) and the Batman trilogy came out, as well as a few other releases, I remember reading complaints on other forums re: normal from-disc UHD playback about needing to return discs for e...

Re: How To submit new UHD logs

I would hope Mike was just having a bad day when he made that comment. I wasn't going to get into this because it's probably better left alone, but I decided to add a comment anyway. Obviously Mike is at the top of his game by supporting any disc for which a dump is submitted, usually within a day....
