Feature Request: have MakeMKV remember individual disc configurations from run to run
Currently, every single time I load a disc (or image of a disc), MakeMKV just loads it per how it detect the content on the disc. I think it could be valuable for MakeMKV to serialize out each disc if I make modifications (selecting / deselecting items, renaming items...) and using that next time I ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
can one do it on any other dolby vision bluray player? if not, I'd make a guess that its a dolby restriction, not allowing dolby vision content to be viewed in manners that they dislike

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Thanks very much. This worked fine. I used the nightly TSMuxer to demux into the base + extra layer and yuescope's v4 tool to create the single layer, followed by TSMuxer again to create the .ts, however yuescope's v4 was GUI based so I didn't see a way to specify double vs single layer. Just want ...

Re: Bought my key & paid, haven't recieved the key yet
the way I view this, one has to be patient enough to see when Mike posts again on the forum. if you see posts from him (he hasnt posted since May 30) and you still have an issue, then be upset. but otherwise patience is the key.

Re: Bought my key & paid, haven't recieved the key yet
MakeMKV seems to be mostly a one man shop. Seems that one should either have patience or find another piece of software as this isn't the right one for you.

Re: MakeMKV no longer finds my BluRayDrive
@mike, does it make sense to loosen the permission for everyone, would it be better to limit it to a group that one has to be a member of and if one runs MakeMKV without being in that group it asks you if you want to add yourself to the group and temporarily raises privileges in order to do that?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
depends on your situation. its nice for me to skip all the demux/convert progress and put the iso/m2ts file in the M9702 and play DV/Atmos directly. i love to collect movies with menu's (iso's). for example: i have so all cuts of a movie like alien (1979), apocalypse now for my collection and not l...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
if kodi can play a profile 7 dolby vision, there's no reason it wont be able to play with menus, at least if it on a device that can run java. In this case, as an android device, it isn't a likely target (though I've been off and on investigating how to run a jvm on android for kodi to use). With th...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I use my m9702 daily, with that said, it is far from perfect. If KODI or Plex could ever play dolby vision bluray rips to my TV we;;, life will be much better. with that said, we are far from that day.

Re: smarter file naming
yea, figured that out. I think it be smarter to not have the _t## as part of the template, but to be smart and do an analysis of the the whole job and then decide to be consistent across all of them. for my needs I just removed it from the template, but think its could be a little more user friendly.

So I'm confused, per that description, I shouldn't getting _t## if my filenames would be unique without it, but I am.....

smarter file naming
Currently the default way of naming a file is <title>_t<track #>.mkv. The point of the _t<track #> makes sense as a default when you'd have many files otherwise named the same, but becomes annoying if one changes the name of the title but then also has to change the filename if one doens't want it (...
