Re: Xbox One X VLC reports 0.00 for movie lengths

Maybe the DTS HD Master or TrueHD tracks which are unsupported? Don't know if the Xbox playback software supports it. All others looks okay. Don't unterstand why an HD audio track is needed to playback something on the Xbox. To hear the addional "HD" details, you must have 10K$+ equipment with 5/7 o...

Re: Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hash error check

What's about an Debug log to see what happens during the rip?

If it is a 4K UHD disc, this is the wrong sub fourm. There is a extra sub forum for UHD discs.

Re: Why Multiple English (Surround 5.1) Audio Tracks?

Audio tracks really are only a small fraction of the file size, so if you're not going to compress, removing an audio track isn't going to save you a lot of space. In case on an f.e "DTS HD Master track" the size can be 4GB and more which is approx 10-15% of the complete file size. The size for eac...

Re: LOTR The Two Towers Extended Edition

Not sure, but you posted something like "same error" in the "fatal Error - Program Aborted" thread? Now in an other very very old thread, with "similar issue" ... sounds confusing, same error? same disc? same issue? If you want help, please describe the problem always as good as possible (with log a...

Re: Despicable Me (Ich einfach unverbesserlich) - Which title / source file should I select?

Make a decrypted backup of the disc, go to the backup folder "Streams" and view the different stream elements f.e 00847.m2ts (for 800mpls) and so on. Easy way to find out which paylist is the correct one. After this open the "backup" (the index.bdmv file in the bdmv folder) with MakeMKV, select the ...

Re: Audio extracting

Can be done with an older Java Tool "Project-X" if the DVD is decrypted. Add all VOB files and Demuxx it and the Audio is separted. Other way is MakeMKV to create the mkv file and use "mkvextract" (Part of MKVToolNIX) to extract the audio file. Maybe there are more tools.

Re: Electrical Storm U2 - BUP offset dosen't match IFO header

The BUP Offset error, is not the problem. Happens on nearly any DVD. It's only a backup file.

I think the problem is that the content is opened on the harddive and not on an DVD drive. Do you have Debug Log (must be enabled in the settings).

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Blu-Ray not copying

I would say that this is a bad spot on the disc. Can happen, also on brand new discs. The position is around 9.87x.xxx.xxx (bytes counted from the start, in this case approx 9,5GB). Tested it in two different drives (serval discs), same error on nearly the same position. Ordered a new disc and the p...

Re: My white whale-descriptive audio

I think there at least two Audio tracks in the MKV file. The first is the audio description and the other one is the "normal" audio. Right? If this is true, you can change the sequence with MKVToolNIX. Load the mkv file, the move the "normal" audio track one up, set it as the default track in the se...

Re: "TV Test Card" at start of BR [Spooks: The Greater Good]

Not with MakeMKV. If the problem is on begining of the movie, you can remove it with MKVToolNIX. Either use the split (on the Output Tab) by Chapter 2 option (if it is on chapter boundary) or you can use an timestamp. After this you have two files, one with the removed part and one with the movie.

Re: "TV Test Card" at start of BR [Spooks: The Greater Good]

Mike wrotes the reason for this some month ago. The MPLS can have an From/To timestamp for each Stream element file. Currently MakeMKV ignores this and includes always the complete Stream element.

Re: Splice two MKV files without altering audio?

I tested it long time ago. It works, but the sound for disc 2 was a little bit out of sync, because MKVToolNIX "adds" each track of disc 2 to the other from disc 1 by ignoring the PTS. There is a big hint in the MKVToolNIX dialog that this can happen. The other problem is with the chapters, because ...

Re: Forced Subtitle Only Selection Rule

Some players respects the "Forced" flag in the MKV header and selects the tracks automaticlay. You can check with MKVToolNIX if this flag is set or set it if not set. Hardcode (Brun-in) Subtitles can only be done with Handbrake, MKVToolNIX does not change the tracks, it can only add/remove/reorder t...
