Re: Issues With RB - Ferdinand (English) Correct PLS

Sounds complicated 8) The more easy way is to backup the disc with decrypt option enabled. After this, open with MakeMKV the index file in the created backup. MakeMKV works now as reading from disc. Now go to the decrypted streams folder and view the segments with are different in the two oder more ...

Re: mkv from bluray not playable in windows video & tv app

Which version of MakeMKV and MkvToolNix are used? MakeMKV 1.12 and MkvToolNix 20.0.0 are the current versions. So it looks like, that your "windows video & tv app" (stilll don't know what you are mean with this) has a less tolerance level. Checking the MKV header (Segement Info -> Multiplex applicat...

Re: Blu-ray's Wont Read After Update?

The detection of a DVD or Blu-ray has nothing to do with MakeMKV. Even if no "Autoplay" Action is selected, Windows analyse the medium and you can see the result (the Label) if the FIle Explorer behind the Drive Letter. Also an Infoxbox pops up. As long as Windows can not deteced or identify the med...

Re: Step by step guide wanted - how to not add commentary tr

Use VLC zu find out which tracks are needed and in which sequence. After this use the "MkvToolNIX Gui" to deselect the unneeded tracks and bring the remaining tracks in the right sequence. Easy job and fast, because to reencoding is done.

Re: Subtitles are removed

Some more infos: Because I'm currently rip a Blu-ray, the first log MSGs from MakeMKV in your listing cannot be correct. The MSGs shows that TrackIDs #2 #3 and #4 are empty and removed. If this is a Blu-ray and the Forced Check Box and the Normal Check Box is checked (as shown in your later provided...

Re: Subtitles are removed

From the picture you have selected six subtitle tracks (3 tracks with the forced part with are extracted from the normal track and the 3 normal tracks). The Make MKV msg indicates that only 3 of the 6 are empty and removed. So the other 3 subtitle tracks must be there. Please note, you must select t...

Re: External HDD Storage (and Recovery) Recommendations

Synology 12-drive media server configured in RAID-6 mode gives me very high availibility because two drives can fail without any interrupt. Any single drive solution (Internal oder External drive) will fail and the data is lost if no backup exists.

Re: Subtitles

The subtitlles have the same look as on the original disc. MakeMKV does only copy the disc content to mkv files.

Re: Patti Cake$ no FUT MakeMKV 1.10.7

If MakeMKV signals "No FUT" created and you proceed with the copy, the content has some errors in it. The picture shows artefacts and so on. To fix this (an SVQ is created or upadeted) a complete new MakeMKV run by using the blu-ray is needed, it does not work with the created mkv file. This can als...

Re: Fps question

The typical framerate on Blu-ray is 23.976 fps. MakeMKV does no conversion, it only decrypts the content and writes it to the MKV file. So do not change the framerate in Handbrake or others tools like VidCoder, always keep the original fps.

Re: different problems

It is possible the English translation of the Elvish is part of the video, and not a subtitle track; I don't have any of the Hobbit/LOTR movies, so I can't help on that. What are you using for playback? VLC (from videolan.org) understands Bluray subtitles in MKV files, and allows you to easily sele...

When I use that command I get this message from notepad ... Cannot find the C:\Users\NameMakeMKV-log.txt file. Do you want to create a new file?" Please note, that the Term "Users" is different in the various Windows Version and Languages. MakeMKV says also for me "C:\Users\...." but the real name ...

I have a Synology server and use their DS Video software for playback on WiFi capable TV's so far. After ripping a movie, I transferred two smaller titles to my server. Re: MakeMKV Output Folder Default with All-Caps Named After

Have you checked this problem: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15116

Sounds like you miss the appending of the disc name to the output folder. Mike has confirmed that this is a bug and it w'll be fixed soon.
