Re: NewBie Ripper

My way of doing things on a Mac: • Rip Blu-Ray/DVD with MakeMKV. Discard all tracks under 3 minutes, retain english subs, native subs if present, core audio track and all other tracks which could be commentaries. • Verify with VLC that the ripped tracks are the ones I want, delete if necessary. This...

Re: What tool to compress

You can convert the MKV subtitles to SRT, which works in Handbrake, using Subler.

Re: MakeMKV logo in my dock does not open MKV program

I assume you are dragging MKV from the DMG to the Dock?

Drag MakeMKV from the DMG to your Applications Folder. Then drag MKV from the Applications folder to your Dock.

Re: macos high sierra

I also worry that MakeMKV is still a 32 bit program since Apple has officially notified software developers that all apps must be 64 bit starting in 2018. I'm not sure if they won't run in future versions of macOS or its just an App Store restriction, but either way, MakeMKV should be updated to 64...

Re: MacOS 64-bit version

Currently Makemkv for MacOS is a 32-bit application. With the next version of MacOS, High Sierra, 64-bit applications will be required starting January 1, 2018. Will a 64-bit MacOS version of Makemkv be released?? That is not correct. Comming this date, all apps submitted to the Mac App Store has t...

Re: 64-bit code?

32 bit app can still run just fine on High Sierra. 10.14 is likely to be the first macOS that doesn't support 32 bit apps.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

The first 2 are of the correct play length, so its likely one of those two you want. Since they have the same segment maps, they should technically be the same. Rip both and see what the differences are, if any? Could be that one just displays some US-specific legal stuff somewhere, and the other is...

Crash when listing contents of folder

I've now twice experienced MakeMKV crashes, while trying to select a folder to save my rips in. How to: • Using Finder, create a folder in MakeMKVs default rip folder (~/MakeMKV-rips/NewFolder/ for instance) • In MakeMKV, add a disc, open it, and click the "set output folder" button, so the select f...

Re: volume key is unknown - makemkv cannot find discattd.dat

Ok looks like i have the same problem with Fantastic Beasts. Is there a way to get that key or do i have to wait until someone releases this key? I had the same error on the same Blu-ray (At least, same title), and ejecting/re-inserting the disc just made MakeMKV immediately reject it. I then disco...
