Re: How to rip 4K UHD on BU40N

Hello everybody I am new here and a complete beginner. I would love to rip a Bluray 4K I bought with the UHD player I just bought, but I'm a little confused. I need your help I'm using an iMac on Mac OS 10.15.6 (I can use a Windows 10 PC if needed) and I'm going to plug my UHD BU40N drive with USB....

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

I have spent a lot of time reading the forums trying to educate myself before attempting to flash the firmware on my blu-ray drive. I think I have a basic understanding now but since I am a complete noob at this I wanted to ask a few questions. I have an LG Slim Portable (external) blu-ray/dvd writ...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

I picked up one of the Archgon slim UHD drives with a BU40N inside. It came default with 1.01 loaded. Can I use the ASUS flasher and which FW do I use as I'm unsure as to what region model the drive was manufactured. I've been reading a bit on the subject, but wasn't sure completely of where to sta...

Re: LG WH14NS40 flashed to WH16NS60 1.02MK - Only reads BD but not DVD

Got it, thanks! The BU40N looks like a slim drive. Those always feel fragile to me, like I might accidentally break the door if I'm not careful. Any recommendations for a standard 5.25" drive? nope all the 5.25 that are UHD friendly are basically the same for now and just rebrands or an aacs 2.x ch...

Hey everyone, I just bought an ASUS BW-16D1HT which has firmware 3.10 on it. I'm trying to use this tool to flash it to ASUS-BW-16D1HT-3.10-WM01601-211901041014.bin in the folder but I'm getting this error "updating failure #1". My setup: Windows 10 using Parallels on MacBook Pro The ASUS driver is...

Re: UHD Friendly & Official drives for sale & flashing service (currently Australia & NZ only)

Greetings, I am only posting here because I can't send PM's yet ... in all the time I have been using MakeMKV I haven't really needed to use the forums until now - when I'm looking for 4K/UHD capable drives. I can get the LG BH16NS55 from my normal parts supplier (Marty if you PM me I can give you ...

Thanks! Inspired me to recheck my options on eBay. Realized I hadn't selected the worldwide sellers option in filters, and found a U.K seller at a decent price. Appreciate the help!
No worries.

FYI, Australia often gets the exact same version as the UK.

Re: Question about non-English/US copies of movies

Hi guys, This is a little off topic but I figured if anyone would know the answer to this it would be you kind folks. Trying to find a copy of Star Wars Last Jedi in 3D. They’re few and far between, but there’s lots of German/Russian/Italian discs that have English audio tracks. Anyone know what th...

Thanks. I’m going to give it another whirl tomorrow so fingers crossed I find the sub track that I need. I bought all mine (4K Australian) seperately as they were on sale at JB HiFi, so I saved a bundle! Anyway, I found that for all of them, playlist 00004 is the correct English one with foreign su...
