Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

Basically the UHD firmwares read at 4x to 6x. The only firmware that is faster belongs to the official UHD drive, the WH16NS60 which reads at 6x to 8x. I was previously using the WH16NS60 1.0 firmware for my WH16NS40 drive as i thought that was the best. Is the 1.02MK firmware better? No noticeable...

Re: WH16NS60, BW-16D1HT, or WH16NS40?

I can pick up any of these drives locally. The prices are approximately: LG WH16NS60 - 80 USD ASUS BW-16D1HT - 70 USD LG WH16NS40 - 60 USD Is there any reason to prefer one of the more expensive drives over the WH16NS40? This is my first BD drive, but it looks like I'll have to flash the firmware o...

Re: How long do you need to rip UHD Bluerays?

I have a LG BH16NS55 and it needs about 1h to rip UHD Bluerays. I would like to buy a faster drive, but wich one is the fastest? As Billy said, you can shave off a few minutes using NS60 firmware. For UHD friendly firmware: allow approx 1 hour for 3 layer UHD. allow approx 45 minutes for 2 layer UH...

Are your SATA ports using RAID? If so, turn off raid as this can cause issues.
Hi ! No RAID !
Well I am officially stumped!! I cannot think of a reason why it is not working for you. Perhaps someone else may have a suggestion for you?

Hi. I have VirtualBox and it works perfectly in these two OS : Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 10 Pro 64 bits. Re: Asus BC-12B1ST 3.11 Firmware Date 2119-20-27 13:21

I flashed my drive, and everything went fine. I just thought I should mention that the Firmware Date now reads 2119-20-27 13:21 It doesn't seem to be a problem, but I thought it might cause issues in the future. As @st4evr said.... If you didn't notice, the date on your drive before flashing would ...

Flash 1.04-MK first. You cannot go straight from 1.04 to 1.02. 1.04-MK doesn't actually seem to exist. Am I overlooking something here? Okay. I managed to roll it back by flashing a different drive FW on there and then flashing the actual model number to 1.02. It's reading UHD discs now. Quick ques...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

Here’s a question: I’ve got DVD Fab complaining about a flashed ASUS saying it needs to have its firmware downgraded. I originally flashed it to 3.10 MK which I assume I is the problem. So what would be a good firmware version to use to avoid upsetting DVD Fab? Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using ...

So you are going to flash it with BU40N_1.03-MK? You should still be able to. Just give it a go. It will either flash successfully or you will get an error before starting the flash. No no no, he will be flashing it with BN12-MK :) Awesome!! Good stuff, Mike. On another note, any updates on the Pio...
