Re: Hunger Games 4k Seemingly killed my UHD Capability?

Not really sure what's going on, but after attempting to rip a fresh copy for The Hunger Games 4k, my drive has completely stopped reading UHD discs. Normal Blu-ray seems fine so I'm not sure whats going on. I'm using an LG WH16NS40 drive that has ripped countless UHD discs including the new Aquama...

I believe 1.04 started in Feb. My 2 drives were dated Feb 13th 2019.

Re: UHD Friendly drives for sale & flashing service (currently Australia & NZ only)

Hi all, Just letting you know, I have 1 x LG BH16NS55 in stock and ready to go! The Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD (BU40N) has been sold. I can also order (depending on availability) the LG BU40N with/without enclosure or the LG WH16NS60 from USA on request. These take around 3 weeks for delivery to Austra...

Re: 2 Fast 2 Furious 4K UHD

Hello everyone. Has anyone been able to rip the 4K blu-ray of 2 Fast 2 Furious? I ask because I have all of the 4K Fast and Furious movies, and I have been able to rip all of them successfully with the exception of 2 Fast 2 Furious. I'm getting "The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't...

@babypuncher,

For your BW-16D1HT, you may as well use Mike's 3.10-MK as apparently the sleep bug is fixed and it is just as quick as the WH16NS60 1.00 firmware.

Re: WH14NS40: Firmware 1.02 or 1.03 preferred for LD?

@floog, I agree with Billy. WH16NS60 1.00 is great for speed and no sleep bug, however, if you do want to stick with the same model firmware, I'd use 1.02 as I don't think 1.03 is UHD friendly.

Re: Is there a way to downgrade the firmware on a Buffalo BRUHD-PU3 from BU11 to BU10?

Hi. I have a drive with the BU10 firmware still on it. Is there any way I can help out with extracting the firmware or otherwise doing something Mike or other devs will find useful? I'm technically competent but haven't been following all the flashing tools. Just let me know the steps to follow and...

Re: Firmware downgrade using official (patched) flasher, the "Ultra hax0r guide"

I just received my LG WH16NS60 and downgraded it using the LG flasher to 1.00. It came stock with 1.01. I'm assuming that it's safe to use the same LG flasher linked above that I used to downgrade to upgrade to the MK firmware found in the [https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=19113 C...

Re: LG BH16NS55 Firmware 1.04 (and possibly other new drives)

Dosflash can be modded for specific MediaTEK chipset as well as for specific bank reading (the same for writing) and for vendor commands. I can't find BH16NS55 device already shipped with 1.04 firmware onboard, but if someone could point me an amazon shop (in Europe) I'll buy one to be able to extr...

Put a UHD disc in and then tell us what MakeMKV says in the info box. I just got my first UHD disc today and it seems to be working! This is the output from the disc info in MakeMKV: Disc Information Label: READY_PLAYER_ONE Timestamp: 2018-06-04 16:53:21 Data capacity: 83.23 Gb Disc type: BD-ROM UH...

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches

When I open a disc MakeMKV says that Libredrive mode would be supported with patched firmware. I'm sure that this is true given that it's just a software limitation preventing me from opening these discs in Libredrive mode. I am convinced that it has something to do with the MK patched firmware not...

Re: Any good source for flashed external usb3 drives?

For some reason my BE16NU50 has stopped reading blu-ray and UHD disks, but will read DVDs. I'm also having problems with my Buffalo blu-ray reader/writer which seems to hang, or go off-line for some reason. I'm working on changing the USB ports to see if that makes a difference. Assuming it doesn't...

Thanks, fortunately this is just an old drive that I don’t care much for and felt like experimenting with. Does anyone know where I can get the appropriate firmware file for my drive?
