Re: Issue with two drives
What version of MakeMKV are you using? If you are using V1.12.3, you might try removing it and installing v1.12.2. I doubt that this is the problem, but some people have reported a few issues with the new version. Might be worth a shot.

Re: Issue with two drives
What happens if you uncheck the single drive option? Do you then see both drives or still just one. By the way, when you uncheck that box, you will need to close the program and restart. I just tried checking the single drive box on my system and then it does ask which drive I want. When it is unche...

Re: Why People Complain About Registration Key Not Working
the people whining about the keys and the tool being to expensive are the people renting discs to rip or downloading! I don't like your style of making accusations about people you dont really know, you should really reconsider your attitude. While they may have better served the discussion by pref...

Re: Kung Fu tv series problems.
I assume that you have cleaned the discs before ripping? I use a 50/50 solution of water and rubbing alcohol with a microfiber cloth. This has solved many ripping problems. Not all but everytime I rip a disc, new or old, I clean them first. Good Luck. No I have not. I can't see any physical damage ...

Re: Ready Player One BluRay Netflix Rental
Update 1.12.13 fixed the problem with this movie disc. To address the other topic raised, I feel like $18 each x four family members to see this in IMAX and then $19/mo. for Netflix and .50 cents at my local library to rent it, should cover my debt to the director and movie studio. MakeMKV is an es...

Re: Failed to open A Quiet Place
There is a key for it in the hashed keys file, any idea why I still cant open it ? My drive and makemkv both recognize what disk it is. What is it saying in the log. It is possible that might need to forward the log for this disc to Mike. It could be that yours will need a different key than the on...

Re: Ready Player One BluRay Netflix Rental
Is ripping from rental disks a common thing ? It would seem that is is somewhat common. I consider doing so to be piracy and theft of intellectual property. I have posted about this before but some just don't seem to care. If we want to watch the movie or tv show for more than the rental time, we s...
Re: Rampage
rivey, yes, I know the routine about cleaning.......I cleaned all three like mad, still got the errors....I clean all my discs before I rip also........that is why these discs puzzled me when they all stopped at around the same point on each disc.......That said, do you use a circular motion when c...
Re: Rampage
thanks for the responses, I did manage to rip this(it is the US version).......It ripped right along, approx. 31 MB/sec, then hit the "bad spot" mentioned above......speed then dropped to less than 1 MB/sec, but the count kept going up, it didn't stop like before......after about 20 secon...

Re: UHD Backups Stall at About 50%
Thanks for the response. I've had zero issues with the 50+ normal Blurays I've ripped. I thought the stall point was suspicious as well, but it only stalls out on certain discs, which might support your "chemical haze" theory. Do you think getting a different drive could solve this issue?...

Re: The Ramen Girl - Failed to Save
Update: I've used a different drive (portable DVD writer) and successfully saved (however, not without errors). I've posted the drive info and errors below. Can anyone help as to why my first drive was unsuccessful? Your original drive is an Asus drive with firmware v3.03. That firmware will not wo...

Re: Chappaquiddick - failed to copy
New discs. I did clean the first disc, but it looked to be brand new. It also played fine in PowerDVD and VLC. I actually tried a second disc of the same movie thinking it was just the disc - but also a no go. The log file I provided was the second disc that failed. Although a new disc may look per...

Re: Chappaquiddick - failed to copy
Are these brand new discs or older? I am not sure but I think the log is showing uncorrectable errors. The first thing I would try is to clean the discs. I make it a habit with every disc I rip to clean the disc first. I used a 50/50 mix of distilled water and rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth....
