Re: MakeMKV not loading DVD
Does MakeMKV show this after you just started it and inserted the disc into the drive? I'm not sure currently, but I thought it at first only shows the main screen with the information about the drive and inserted disc on the right side. I wonder what happens when you do the following: - start MakeM...

Re: MakeMKV not loading DVD
How do the files on the DVD look like?
e.g. (on Windows)
- open a command line
- go to the DVD drive with (e.g.) E:
- run dir /s /a | clip
That should list every content on the DVD and copy it as a text into your clipboard. You can paste it in notepad or in here.

Re: Libredrive version v6
Thanks. Always good to know what drive and firmware when results are posted. Hopefully it'll help Mike. Re: Libredrive version v6
Certainly I noticed on several disks already that the speed is going down again when the rip comes near the end of the current file. Like it's max speed between 75 and 85%, then it gets slower again.

Re: DVD bonus features not on the disc as titles, MKV does not see them
They are then within the menu titles of the DVD. I only know one program able to make movies out of them: DVDshrink In the reauthoring mode drag the menu(s) to the left title center. A warning will appear, that the menus will be converted to static video files. Maybe you have luck and the Extras are...

Re: If backing up a disc, does makemkv store any info about the host pc?
As much as I know the MAKEMVK folder contains what previously was in the AACS folder.
Even if you delete the MAKEMKV folder, the contents will play fine, because the AACS is already gone if you decrypted during ripping.

Re: Alternatives to MakeMKV
tsMuxer and mkvtoolnix will do remuxing without transcoding like makemkv does, both are open source and free. handbrake is another option it will transcode thus compression the video and losing quality. I don't know tsMuxer, but I suppose that, and I know for sure on MKVToolNix, don't decrypt BluRays

Re: How to rip chronological version of "Memento"
Does MakeMKV upon opening the disc say something about identical playlists?
And your Chronological Version can't be SD then, when it's accessing the same file as the main movie I think.

Re: How to rip chronological version of "Memento"
Some playlists are just bogus, repeating the same file again and again.
In your screenshot it also lists the 00004.mt2s repeatedly.
Somehow I guess, the playlist 00004.mpls also shows 00004.mt2s as playlist item?
