Re: MakeMKV 1.15.4

On the last RE thread, I asked if anyone tried @domy94's method for fixing the audio tracks and somebody said they did, but it still wasn't working. If that's indeed the case and seeing how Mike incorporated @domy94's methods, it still might not be working correctly in the latest version, but best t...

Re: MakeMKV 1.15.4

If you had previously used mkvtoolnix to mux a DV film's BL and EL onto their own separate tracks (video track #1-BL, video track #2-EL) prior to any of the DV developments with makemkv, then 1.15.4 should now recognize these frankenstein mkvs and spit out a proper DV mkv file with the BL and EL mer...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

My LG OLED55B6V TV, if it plays .ts video files with Dolby Vision. Returning to my question. Is there a command to merge Hevc1 and hevc2 from the command prompt "cmd" and give me a .ts video file? Explain how I can do it. Please! Thank you so much everyone. Waiting for your reply. all you need is h...

Re: Official Dolby Vision MKV spec support

If you're playing it off your TV's internal player, it's not going to work because there's no support for DV in mkv containers. From Marty's steps, after you get the encoded BL hevc file, you can try muxing it into an mp4 container and see if that works. The steps can be found the mp4 thread. Am I ...

Re: Official Dolby Vision MKV spec support

snip Following your steps, I got Atomic Blonde shrunk down from just under 60 GB to 26.3 GB on final product. MediaInfo recognizes that it is a Dolby Vision/HDR10 video. Now is the part that I think is my LG C9 TV being odd. When playing the video, it triggers HDR mode and not Dolby Vision mode (pe...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Hi, if I want a device to play 4k remux (hdr10 and dolby vision) and 1080 remux, between a fire tv cube and a shield tv pro, which one do you recommend? The shield has better gpu. 3gb ram, 2 usb 3.0 ports, but it has the network push bug. The fire tv cube, better dolby vision, but it lacks a gigabi...

Re: UHD ROM drives?

Not sure where you're getting $150 from but you can get a WH14NS40 for like 50 bucks on Amazon and then flash it to a NS60 firmware and be good to go. It's what I've been using for the last year or so.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I have been making ts files using TsMuxer for playback on my x700. I have been using w64-nightly-2020-10-07--02-32-42 and creating files by using the playlist file from a full disc back-up. Everything works perfectly for Atmos / TrueHD content, but does anyone happen to know why DTS codecs are not ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Like I said, the guy who tested my C9 edid said the LG was requesting LLDV from the Zidoo / Shield, don't know why it is different on the B9, the B9 and C9 don't have the same processor so might have different firmware.Attach-edid0003.zip Anybody want a try? There's an easy way to just test this on...

Still RGB 8bit here on my B9. Latest 5.0 firmware on the TV and 8.2.1 on the Shield experience. Tested with both UHD disk backup DV and Netflix DV.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Hi, I got this from guy called Mark Swift on the AVS / Zidoo forum who has a HD fury device and during bug testing on behalf of Zidoo he has loaded my LG C9 edid and found this to be the case with the Zidoo Z9X and the shield that unless the player specifically asks for TV led processing the LG def...

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)

Good call. Kodi picks up Atmos and plays it back fine. I don't think this is a new way of encoding Atmos into a stream so it's weird that Plex isn't picking it up correctly. Aha, so it's an issue with the app then. Can you open up Plex in your web browser, browse to the movie, and see if you can se...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I ran BDMV full Blu Ray directory from the Oppo clone and mp4 remuxes from the internal player, run the same movies and changing from source to source and compare the same scenes. Even HDR 10 movies looks better on the internal player of the TV, i own a B9. P.S. do you have to install some patches ...
