Re: So many mistakes

You removed the information about what drive you are using, but the errors you are getting are consistent with a USB-powered drive that is not getting enough power to run at the speeds MakeMKV can read. It shuts down, giving a read error, followed by device not available errors as it resets. Make su...

Re: Despicable Me (Ich einfach unverbesserlich) - Which title / source file should I select?

This is a Disney release, so your language determines which you should use. If you look at the titles and credits section of the files, they will be in different languages. 800 is almost always English. 801 and 802 are usually Spanish/French, respectively. For German, 804 is the most likely one. Bot...

Re: Failed to rip UHD disc Mamma Mia 2 Here we go again.

Send the file C:\Users\roger/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v65_Mamma_Mia!_Here_We_Go_Again_55E1.tgz to svq@makemkv.com, and try the rip in a few days.

Re: VLC, makemkv and BD+

That I cannot tell you - I do not operate MakeMKV in that mode. I have it create MKVs of the content immediately, and have VLC play those. Actually, I process them through handbrake and put them on the media server, because I don't want to waste the space, or have to go digging through disks to find...

Re: VLC, makemkv and BD+

MakeMKV only uses an installed Java interpreter for playlist obfuscation. For BD+, it has its own limited interpreter for dealing with JUST BD+, when it is writing to a backup or MKV files.

The error says that VLC is trying to use Java, so this should be a VLC support issue.

Re: No Audiotrack in MKV from certain Blurays

"No preferred language" should have the auto-select grab all available languages.

When you click on the little triangle next to the title in the left window, are the audio tracks in the list?

Which is it for? All of them.

The same license code works on Windows, MacOS, and Linux.

Do you have a preferred language set? If so, do the BDs have audio tracks in that language?

Re: ASUS BW-16D1H-U downgrade

The -U drive is not UHD-capable. It doesn't matter if you pull it out of the enclosure and put it in your computer; the hardware drive is different from the other "BW16" drives.

Do not try flashing it, because there aren't any compatible images to flash.

Re: Forced subtitles and "smart" TVs

"Smart TV" is a relative term. They're smarter than a plain old monitor, but rarely smart enough to have all the features you think they have. One of the features that is woefully lacking on most of them is support for subtitles OTHER THAN text-based ones. DVD, Bluray, and UHD Bluray all use graphic...

Re: Volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted

You may have an AACS version that revokes the MakeMKV key. Assuming you're running v1.14.3 of MakeMKV (current newest) that would be AACS newer than version 68. There should have been a message in the log window about it, with the path to a file to be sent in to deal with the lock-out. Look in your ...

Re: software crash around 60% and close

Without more information, it is impossible to say what could be happening. "Crash and close" usually involves something in the operating system, and there will be a system log entry about it. At the very least, we need to see what errors proceed the crash, which would be in the debug log, and the cr...
