Re: Lossless quality

If you purchased the video on optical media, the "lossless quality" ship has already sailed into the sunset... You have a lossy copy of the original video in the package you purchased. That said, MakeMKV copies the video from the disk to your system without modifying it, so it's as "lossless" as you...

Within MakeMKV, click on Help->Purchase.

Otherwise, you can get to the same place with https://makemkv.com/buy/

Re: Samsung SE 506 info

Once it is enabled, probably through a firmware change, one main advantage is that things like AACS version 70 won't lock you out from ripping older disks.

Re: MKB_v4_unkn0wn_2E70

You're missing a file that is generated by MakeMKV when ripping a backup. It's name is discatt.dat, and if you don't have it, you have to find a working volume key for the disk on internet, OR you need to use the original disk to create it. https://makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=17087&p=6998...

Re: Just purchased a key...

Temporarily set your system DATE back to when the original key was valid; 28 May 2019 should work for version 1.14.3. Start MakeMKV. After it starts, you can reset your system date to the current date. Go to Help->Register, and enter the new key. If it's a purchased (i.e., permanent) key, you won't ...

Re: Has anyone been able to get Field of Dreams to work?

With the paranoia in today's world about any data being shipped out of your computer to some "random server", what Mike has been doing is creating the MKB file, telling you where it is, and how to submit it in the log window of the program.

Re: How to use Multiple Angles?

It's possible to program something up, but the easiest way would be to use the Backup function with a BD-aware player, so you could use the original menus.

Re: No Audiotrack in MKV from certain Blurays

Very strange name for a product that advertises it encodes the video with lossy codecs to make it smaller...

And you never did say what disks you had problems with, so no one can confirm that you ever had a problem, just that you came here to advertise a different product.

Re: How to use Multiple Angles?

You would have to rip that angle as a separate MKV file.

Re: Fatal Error Occurred, Program Will Now Exit

The topic has multiple "latest version" of MacOS having problems. The similarity between them is that Apple changed something and broke programs. Best procedure would be to start a new topic for your particular issue, since it is a "one disk" problem, not an "every disk fails now" issue like the pre...

Re: LOTR The Two Towers Extended Edition

Since the post you are replying to is 7 years old, and a lot of people (including me) have ripped one of the multiple versions of this disk since then, it is likely your issue is different.

What type of errors are you seeing? Do you have debug logging enabled?

Re: Do I want the JPEG Attachment?

The attached image is used by some players as the icon for the file. If you browse your files as lists, it isn't that important. But if you use icons for browsing, using the attachment will be more consistent than letting the player choose what to display. My normal work flow is to rip all audio/sub...

Re: So many mistakes

You removed the information about what drive you are using, but the errors you are getting are consistent with a USB-powered drive that is not getting enough power to run at the speeds MakeMKV can read. It shuts down, giving a read error, followed by device not available errors as it resets. Make su...

Re: Despicable Me (Ich einfach unverbesserlich) - Which title / source file should I select?

This is a Disney release, so your language determines which you should use. If you look at the titles and credits section of the files, they will be in different languages. 800 is almost always English. 801 and 802 are usually Spanish/French, respectively. For German, 804 is the most likely one. Bot...
