Re: Feature Requests

Do you have Expert mode enabled in the Preferences, General tab? The selection of profiles is part of the Advanced tab, which is only visible if you have Expert mode turned on. The WD profile has been part of each distribution for some time. I have an "updated" profile that tweaks the WD profile for...

Re: Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS

There is a line in your log that might be of help:
Highest AACS version is v7 , MKB saved as /root/.MakeMKV/MKB_v7_BATMAN_BEGINS.tgz
Do you have that file still? Fan you forward it to Mike at svq@makemkv.com ?

Are you having problems with any other BD titles?

Re: Amazing program! Small question regarding output file

Streaming WHILE you rip would either have to slow the rip down (program accessing multiple parts of the disk at the same time), or be to a file format that can be streamed before the multiplexing has been completed and written to the output. Since MakeMKV is not a video display program, you would be...

Re: Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS

Would be helpful if we had additional information, such as the version of MakeMKV you're using.

Check the link in my signature for how to enable debugging, and post the results of trying to rip the disk.

Re: Evaluation period has expired

Check the "Announcements" section of the forum. There's a topic there about "MakeMKV is free while in beta", which has the latest key. It may seem old, but it is updated each month as keys expire.

Re: Content Skipped: Tiny's BIG Adventure from Prep & Landin

Posting the files here works, too. It's less direct, but others can take a look at them and offer suggestions until Mike gets a chance to see them. And there are limitations on the attachments here that don't apply to email. However, on the subject of the emails bouncing, I can't get that error mess...

You are sending to support@makemkv.com ? If so, your email provider is having a problem, because the domain IS valid.

Re: EXPIRATION DATE?

In the announcements section of this board, there is a topic that will always have the current beta test key in it. The subject is "MakeMKV is free while in beta".

Those of us who have purchased MakeMKV do not have to worry about that anymore - our keys are valid "always". Saves a bit of hassle.

MakeMKV doesn't change the frame rate.

Have you checked the playback with another media player, such as VLC on your computer?

Re: No audio with "Kill Bill" blu-ray MKVs

Which audio streams did you select? Some, such as "TruHD", are not well supported in software.

Search the forum for "undf" and "undef", and you will find several topics on this.

Re: Newbie - Facing Unsorted parts after ripping

Yes, The Last Starfighter was issued on BD (actually a DVD/BD combo pack) for the 25th anniversary.

Mine has part of the hub hole broken out, from trying to get it loose from the holder.

Re: Newbie - Facing Unsorted parts after ripping

They do it for the same reason DVDs and BDs are encrypted, with ever-increasing complexity - to inconvenience the casual user, and to make it seem like they're fighting piracy. If you intend to steal their property, the extra few hours it takes to figure out which title is "right" is nothing. But it...

Re: Newbie - Facing Unsorted parts after ripping

What you describe sounds like you're ripping Disney titles, where they will put dozens of "fake" tracks on the disk, made up of parts of the movie, out of order. Disney isn't the only one to do it, but they do it a lot.

Re: Can't upgrade to 1.8.3

Make sure you do not have a copy of MakeMKV running, using the task manager. If you do, use "end process" on anything with makemkv in its name. Alternatively, you can reboot your computer to make sure no part of MakeMKV is running, but that's overkill most of the time. Try running the update again. ...

Re: Foreign Movies ENGLISH subtitles

The only link I had in my message was to the FAQ for enabling debug logging. In the MakeMKV preferences, you can set a "Preferred Language", which will cause MakeMKV to put a higher priority on tracks in that language. And, under the "advanced profiles", you can set up a profile that will ignore any...
