I use Handbrake to add the subtitles
Can you explain this point? Subtitles from Internet, other disc or ...? All tracks in an MKV file have an PTS (Presentation Timestamp) to sync the components. Adding things from anywhere can be a problem if different timestamps are used.

Re: Blurays and subtitles

No problem at all with subtitles, MakeMKV works as expected. Nothing changed in the Blu-ray specification. Don't know why you are think that the problem is in the MakeMKV or Blu-ray area. The problem must be in your process, software, hardware, playing Software/Hardware. Test the output file after e...

Re: Playback with chapter selection on MacOS

What you did is a backup of the Blu-ray, this process copies every file and structure to the backup location. You must click in MakeMKV on the big disc icon and you come to a selection menu, select what you need and press start. This process creates mkv files (one for each selected title, but the ma...

Re: Creating MKV from a 3D BD with Atmos Sound from other source

The Mkvtoolnix package is your friend. You can include and remux it with "MkvToolNIX GUI" from tw existing mkv files into a new mkv file. Deselect all what is not needed, shift the wanted track in the right position and remux it.

Re: Does MakeMKV Support .TS Format?

MakeMKV supports the disc structures DVD and Blu-ray. TS (Transport Stream) is a simple container format. You can convert it with "MKVToolNIX GUI" to an MKV file.

Re: Subtitle with empty title

I think there is a flag in the DVDs IFO files with indicates that an specific subtitle stream contains normal and forced flagged subtitles. Maybe that VLC analyse this flag and shows the selection option that only the forced flagged subtitles from this subtitle stream are played. But you can get the...

Re: Subtitle with empty title

I am unable to rip that DVD with the forced subtitles because MakeMKV skips those unnamed subtitle tracks. How can I teach it to not do that? Extract of "Forced flagged" subtitles works only for Blu-ray and not for DVD. There is also no selection for DVDs Forced flagged subtitles. For DVD...

Re: Problème sous-titres

Most "Smart TV" have horrible Media Playing support. It can play a simple files, show pictures and so on. MKV files with video, audios, subtitles are complexer and it end up what you see. You have already verified with VLC that the MKV file is okay and playable, so the problem is not the M...

Re: Can't use MakeMKV at all. Doesn't browse folders/files

What Windows Version are you using? The Explorer Window looks different to Win 10.

The Explorer Window shows only matching files which matches to the types listed in the "Files of Type" selection.

The last error are not from MakeMKV, they are from the MKVExtract GUI.

Sorry to say this, but your posts without dot and comma are difficult to read. For the output folder select the MakeMKV Preferences -> Video and set the folder naming option and the starting path. For subtitles usage and understanding read this first: https://makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=64126#...

Re: A Dog's Way home main feature?

Maybe there are different movie version on the disc. Check the length and the MPLS stream segment maps for each of them. If they are all identical, different audio and subtitle tracks are inlcuded.

Re: Need help understanding which chapters to choose

On most box sets you have one title for each "episode" and an overall playlist which includes ALL "episodes". This can be verified by selecting all the single episodes and take a look into the MPLS stream segment map. Write it down or remember it. Now look into the overall MPLS p...

Re: Sherlock Holmes "Red Circle" Audio Sync

A wrong Sync can be corrected with "MKVToolNIX GUI". Load the created MKV file in MKVToolNIX, select the wrong audio track and look ino the right below area. There is a "Timestamp and default duration" section. Now enter in the "Delay (in ms)" field the value. f.e. &quo...
