Also Described Audio is often a 5.1 track, you'll notice pretty quickly if you accidentally get one of those though!
And if you're watching older movies, they may include original 2.0 or Mono tracks as well as newly remixed 5.1 or 7.1 tracks, so that's a preference to consider.

Re: A Simple Favor (US Retail)
I presumably have the same disc as you, as my 422 segment map matches yours.
(Disc Timestamp: 2018-10-15 13:06:07. UPC 0 31398 29525 9 80)
It would be news to me if FPL_MainFeature was incorrect.

It wasn't "too hard" for me to use it for years without a registration, and for years after that with a registration.

Re: Walt Disney Short Films Collection
I usually do what the second post in this topic suggests - I just rip everything (excepting things that are obvious to me, which you'll get to know according to your own preferences the more you rip), and then sort through it afterwards. For shorts, I don't name them like a TV series, no. I name the...

Re: Shannara Chronicles Season 2 - UK release
This is (still) a limitation of MakeMKV ... I've seen less than 10 discs total ... The proper MPLS parsing is on a to-do list. Checking back in on this, 2 years later :D Is this still on the to-do list for sometime in the future, maybe via an optional preference setting? It's actually kind of inter...

Yup, audio track that is longer than the video track... I recall running into this before as well. A little bit annoying, but doesn't present any other issues.

Re: Region Encoding
It would still be a useful feature for MakeMKV to report what's on the disc as far as region locking goes... of course it doesn't concern us as far as backing up our discs, but since I participate on various Blu-ray forums with people who are traditional collectors, it would be nice to be able to re...

Re: 3D MKV files
Were you able to get it to work?
I have the required version 2.6 (AviSynth_260.exe) saved together with BD3D2MK3D in my software folder, so evidently that was the version I used, and I don't recall having any installation issues with it.

Re: How to make MKV for Disney's UP
Or, let's just put the info from AVS here. One of the exceptions to the Disney 800 rule, but it follows the same logic, where x00 is English and the other languages/options are x01, x02, etc. Region A: 00100.MPLS - English Render 00101.MPLS - CineExplore Title (Identical Files w/ PiP enabled) 00102....

Re: 3:10 to Yuma storyboards on screen
I like how the Fifth Element Blu-ray did this, storing the pop-up trivia-type info as a subtitle track. (The later M4K Blu-ray removed the graphical design and used standard subtitle text.) https://i.imgur.com/mVludjC.png Toy Story 3 had storyboards that seemed to also be stored as a subtitle track,...

Re: Does MakeMKV downmix audio?
Short answer - it's the lossy core of the lossless master audio.
If you want, you can unselect it using the expandable tree when you're browsing the titles in MakeMKV.

Re: Onward 3d bluray different structure?
So yes, the structure is the same as usual, you can see the indented video track on both titles. First it says "Mpeg4 AVC" and then you see the indented track where it says "Mpeg4 MVC" - that's the 3D data for the second eye. Click on each track where it says Title, and then look...

Re: Onward 3d bluray different structure?
Nothing should have changed. Just to make sure, you did put in the 3D disc and not the 2D disc, right? The disc label should say "3D" in it. Of the two titles, one should be 800 (English) and one should be 80x (probably German). Not having the disc myself (it's waiting for me at my US mail...

Re: Toy Story 4 3D UK - Memory Error
So Mike answered and solved this for me very quickly! The issue was that making an MKV with this particular disc, I ran out of virtual memory as one would expect from the error, and perhaps somewhat counter-intuitively (at least to me, since I didn't really understand the read buffer and figured tha...

Re: Fatal error (crash) when canceling
On a related note, when in the process of opening a disc, cancelling doesn't really cancel as one might expect. I had a disc with a huge amount of titles, so I decided to cancel the opening process and temporarily increase my minimum title length setting (since I normally set it pretty low), hoping ...
