Sounds possibly like Makemkv can’t download the hashed keys database possibly because of a firewall.
Do you have a file called private_data.tar in your .Makemkv folder?

try putting the file i've attached into the data directory and try ripping again.

The 1080P stream is the Dolby Vision enhancement layer.
If you use the latest version of Makemkv to rip, these layers will be interleaved in the Mkv file allowing for future playback in Dolby vision once compatible players are readily available.

On a side note the standard blu-rays in the pack are also new encodes/pressings. Now 1&2 are AVC not VC1 and the quality and clarity is much better than the original & 30th releases.

You can do decryption on the fly with certain applications. I know MPC-HC works.
Look at the integration tab in make mkv’s preferences to see if your apps are enabled.

Sounds like the sleep bug to me. If you leave the disc in too long without accessing it the drive locks up until you eject and close the tray again. Although I thought this only applied to 4K discs ?

I got Forrest Gump and Saving Private Ryan to rip last night. What I did was: for Forrest Gump, all disc were brand new, I rubbed really hard with microcloth. It took longer to rip, 2 hrs? but... it worked for Saving Private Ryan I did the same thing, rubbed hard with microcloth, but I had to do so...

In the end I resurrected my old dvd-fab passkey license I had forgotten about from years ago. I didn't realise it now does 4k discs.
That ripped the goonies no problem.

It should be OK at 24fps as it wasn't interlaced therefore removing every other frame would make it as if it was naturally shot at 24.

I notice that DEUHD can decrypt this title now but I'm not paying the Russian hackers!! I've noticed since I signed up for a free trial of DEUHD that I'm now getting spam to the mailbox I used.

Over 3TB's free but it's an external drive, I've backed up 2 other 4K discs to the same drive tonight without error but I'll try writing to an internal drive just in case. Strange issue. Could be some sort of USB buffer overflow. You should try to rip to your local drive and see if the error persis...
