Re: Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk (UK) failing to Rip

Also, what are you using to de-encrypt? Your title is not listed on DeUHD's site so it would be helpful to know what tool.

Re: MMKV, Dolby Atmos and Plex

Does the J7500 Plex client support Atmos? How would I know that? I know the J7500 passes Atmos because it does when I play an Atmos Blu-ray. That may be, but it may not support Atmos or other hi-resolution audio from an .mkv file. Don't use Plex or any streaming service built into a TV. Also, does ...

Were there any special settings to do Atmos, or just the standard duplication?
No special settings, just make sure you're including the Dolby TrueHD audio track.

Re: Friends Blu Ray Box - More titles than there should be?

I do not own this set but it could very well be that each episode has two identical playlists, producing two identical or near-identical .mkv files. This happened with the Arrow TV series, if I recall, as well as a few others. Once ripped, check to see if there are two .mkv files of identical size. ...

Forum Request - UHD Topic

Mike, can you create a new topic within the forum specific to discussing errors related to or conversing about UHD discs and MakeMKV use? Will be helpful to keep these all in one area.

Thanks in advance, Y

Have you checked this topic? http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15055

Start here, then report back, but best guess from your post is the area needed to be read so the disc can be de-encrypted cannot be read, due to physical damage, manufacturing error/defect, or dirty disc.

Re: Ken Burns: The Vietnam War (2017)

Disc 1 and 2 were no problem. Disc 3 gives the following error: "CellWalk algorithm failed (structure protection is too tough?), trying CellTrim algorithm". Anyone have any idea what the problem is here? Are you ripping a Blu-Ray or DVD? I've never seen this message come up on a Blu-Ray. ...

Re: Output sizes different than source sizes

Yes, MakeMKV will output files with lossless audio and video, that's the beauty of the software. Can't say specifically why your file sizes are what they are but you can always check the file with something like MediaInfo to verify.

Re: The Dark Tower Bluray

Looks like the disc may be damaged (whether it shows visible damage or not), here's an older response to a similar error report from Mike:

Re: An ISO that was created by another App

It could be that the ISO file does have two titles or playlists inside and one rips to an .mkv file while the other does not. Please post the error report you're seeing; without that, hard to determine what the specific cause may be...but if I were to guess, one of the titles is corrupt (just a gues...

Re: Avatar 3D

It really does sound like the disc needs to be replaced; you have enough experience with the software given your "Ripped hundreds of Blu-rays and dozens of 3D Blu-rays on this drive, and I've successfully ripped others since trying this one, so I know it's not my drive" description. And I'...

Re: War for the Planet of the Apes - no FUTs

I don't think your post is being ignored, it's simply that no one here, save Mike, can provide an exact answer. Precedent is that it may take a day or two for a new disc's copy protection to be defeated, or it may take several weeks. The way one usually finds out is that the disc suddenly no longer ...
