Ripping Dolby Atmos into MKV

From what i have been reading on the kodi forums. The issue is with ffmpeg’s max bitrate cap for truehd/atmos. Currently 10Mbit and the truehd spec is max 18Mbit. It’s not a mkv encoding issue

Windows has way to much overhead, just use a $99 dedicated media player that runs linux. OSMC Vero4K+

Re: Feature request: saving advanced settings

tl;dr: I would like to suggest a feature for the advanced settings page where people can save their settings strings for different occations and reload it appropriately. longer version: I usually rip DVDs in english audio (I am german) and therefore don't need no subtitles. Sometimes I would like t...

Rip it to folder backup with MakeMKV, then open that with CloneBD and create the MKV. That should fix it.
it did, but a fix from mike would be awesome

Re: AACS 2.1 support

Trying to access the movie "your name", its the 4kuhd edition with aacs 2.1, mkv has trouble decrypting it. added the dump file as an attachment. my other question is: why does makemkv say this?; https://i.imgur.com/Uqe3kdq.png is there a problem with my bd reader? do i need a different o...

A quick search reveals, Pioneer drives are not and most likely will never be supported

Re: AACS 2.1 support

@mike admin, I mentioned this already in various unrelated other posts. The mkv file format doesn't cover all features anymore that are available on UHD discs today. Especially DolbyVison and HDR. Therefore I use makemkv only to decrypt UHDs and copy to folder w/o converting to mkv. My opinion is t...

KODI Chapter Skip Function with MKV's Broken

is anyone else having a issue with MKV's in KODI with chapters not skipping? i don't know if it's a KODI issue or a MakeMKV issue? i use a OSMC Vero4K+, and the dev told me it was because "remuxes do not use align chapters with key frames." is this something mike can fix or is this a KODI ...
