Re: Three identical titles, which is the right one ?
Just checking the beginning and the end wouldn't work for this one, since all three playlists have the same beginning and ending segments but different middle segments - 124, [125/136/137], 126. Not necessarily, it might still be enough. It could be that 124 and 125/136/137 are both short and near ...

Re: Three identical titles, which is the right one ?
Unfortunately, BDInfo needs to have the copy protection removed from the disc, which takes a while if you use MakeMKV to create a disc backup without CP. Alternatively, you can have AnyDVD HD running in the background when you use BDInfo, but not every MakeMKV user is going to own AnyDVD HD. IMO, th...

Re: Three identical titles, which is the right one ?
I'd go with the 124,125,126 one since it is first and the segment numbers are sequential.
It may not be what you want, but I'd try that one first, I'd say 80% chance it is the one you want (if you are English language).
The others may be localized differently (Japanese, etc.)

Re: Profiles settings discussion
With MakeMKV 1.7.1, I am using this for my default selection criteria: -sel:all, +sel:(favlang|nolang), -sel:(havemulti|havelossless), +sel:(core*(favlang|nolang)), =100:all, -10:favlang It gives me the lossless audio track(s) in my favorite language (or no language), including the core audio in my ...

Re: Single VOB file to MKV?
MakeMKV does not transcode, which means to decode and re-encode.
VOB is a container format. MKV is a container format. So what you need is to convert from one container format to another.
Have you tried "open file" on the VOB from MakeMKV?

Re: Purchasing MakeMKV
Or if you need to use both at the same time, use one copy registered, and the other copy using a beta license. So if I understand this correctly, you can't have it registered twice. To me that would mean the first machine/partition you install it on would be the only one you could reliably use it o...

Re: "AV sync issue" Question / Frame dropping?
I think MakeMKV only got the option "Show AV synchronization messages" in 1.7.0. I've been using all the versions for a while, and I have only seen the messages appear recently. They do appear sometimes when I am ripping directly from a blu-ray disc.

Re: version 1.7.0 crashes upon ejecting a disc
Update on this crash. It is the Windows makemkv.exe GUI application that is crashing, not makemkvcon64. Also, the crash occurs when I have the mouse text edit cursor in the text box for setting the filename of the output MKV file at the time that I eject the disk. I mean the new "expert mode&qu...

Re: LPCM and MKV
MakeMKV handles LPCM just fine. I have used it on several discs.
What you are asking for is a conversion from LPCM to FLAC, if I understand you correctly.

Re: version 1.7.0 crashes upon ejecting a disc
Sigh.. same here. And now after one of these crashes MakeMKV does not recognize the drive at all, even after reboot. That sounds like a different problem if MakeMKV cannot recognize the drive after a reboot. I would start by checking (i.e., reseating) the cables: power and data on both ends. The pr...

No, there was nothing in the log. It happens with every source I have tried, BD or DVD.mike admin wrote:Do you see anything at all in the debug log for "crashed" MakeMKV? What kind of source did you use - BD or DVD and from disc or from harddrive?

Re: version 1.7.0 crashes upon ejecting a disc
Since I upgraded to version 1.7.0, I have been getting a lot of crashes when I eject a disc. After ripping has completed successfully ("1 titles saved") and I click OK, then I manually eject the disc from the drive (by pressing the button on the drive itself), MakeMKV pops up a dialog wit...
