Re: Cost of MakeMKV
The price is 50 euros so that is about $70. The OP is right on the price. No, the OP is wrong. The price is $50 USD. It may also be 60 Euros (after tax), but it is ridiculous to quote the Euro after tax price converted to dollars, when the actual US dollar price is $50. And you can hardly blame Mak...

Re: MakeMKV release plan and update
Not if they are copy-protected. You'd need to remove the copy protection first, using something like MakeMKV or AnyDVD.setarip_old wrote: Can "Handbrake" also rip commercial discs?

Re: Harry Potter Deathly Hollows pt2
Do you mean that the audio track is commentary, but the video is the actual movie? Or is the video part also not the actual movie?

Re: Windows v1.6.16 still says it is v1.6.15
You probably did not make sure that the command line portion was stopped before doing the install. Thanks, that was it. The installer did not warn me that the install failed, even though I now know that it did. After rebooting and re-running the installer, I now have v1.6.16 displayed. And you even...

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set
AnyDVD HD creates either a folder structure (a folder containing several subfolder including one named BDMV) or an ISO image, depending on whether you use the AnyDVD Ripper or the AnyDVD Image Ripper. MakeMKV can open both (point it to the ISO image or to the <FOLDER_NAME>/BDMV/index.bdmv file). Ju...

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set
DVD Fab is only free for a month trial and the 2nd movie of star wars series has trouble with it. Actually, HD Decrypter (part of DVD Fab) is always free, no trial. But HD Decrypter seems to be a little behind AnyDVD on new copy protection sometimes. So I usually use AnyDVD-HD when MakeMKV fails. A...

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set
I found that the latest AnyDVD-HD ripped the Star Wars blurays to hard disk without problems, and then MakeMKV was able to use the ripped files to create MKVs. I think AnyDVD-HD makes a good complement to MakeMKV (I have paid for both programs). I usually use MakeMKV, but on the <5% of discs that Ma...

Add me to the list of people requesting an option to automatically check the HD audio, in addition to the core audio.
I'll also note that I paid the fee to purchase a license for MakeMKV, so please consider me a paying customer.

Re: 1.6.10 playback / seek issues
So why got the MKV Engine changed? What was the problem with the old one? And if there's a known problem with the new engine FOR A MONTH, why is there still no release with the old working engine ( for compensation ) and there are more pointless experiments with the new engine (v1.6.11)? And why am...
