Re: Blu Ray opens in MakeMKV, but not VLC??

If I'm reading your post correctly, this sounds more like a VLC support issue, not a MakeMKV issue?

A quick Google search tells me this is a manga series. Does it have multiple discs, and did you change to a new disc? If yes, did you re-try the previous discs you'd already watched?

Re: DVD Series - How can I tell what episode?

As Woodstock mentioned, just rip everything and then compare against known info (Wikipedia is great for this) such as episode title if shown on screen, production number if shown at end, or some easy credit in the opening credits such as writer and director. I’ve always found this is the quickest so...

Re: Descriptive Audio only

Yup, you want the first DTS-HD MA track and you don’t need the sub/child track... and the other 5.1 track will be the descriptive audio.

Does seem like a codec/playback issue in this case. Try mpv.io.

Re: Don't have access to MakeMkv

It means that Windows is denying access to MakeMKV to write a file it uses to keep track of the highest version of AACS your drive has seen. This usually means that you installed MakeMKV as an administrator, but are running it as a different user, so you don't "own" the directory. This is...

Re: Disk Contents

So many possible reasons depending on the content and how it was authored. In the future, I recommend posting in the disc-specific forum and letting us know what the title of the disc is. Disc-specific questions can usually be answered by others who have the same disc, by looking at the specs on the...

Re: Resident Evil - Apocalypse Audio Sync

Since you mentioned the playlists share the same segment map, my guess based on a pretty common authoring setup is you have two playlists for theatrical and two playlists for extended - the only difference between them will be, one will have English/Spanish/French type subtitle/language options and ...

Re: Fatale

File name: Fatale_t187.mkv for my version of RB Just to clarify, the "t" "title" number in the filename is an arbitrary number that MakeMKV assigns based on the order that it loads the content of the disc, which can be affected by factors such as minimum title length as mentione...

Super old thread, but I figured I'd add this for clarification, and for anyone randomly running across this topic via Google. There are 3 options when it comes to playing 3D Blu-rays as 2D: - In the screenshot shown above for My Bloody Valentine, you can see that the 2D playlist is using just one ey...

Re: Issue with UK Masters Of Cinema Blu-rays. Maybe others?

I noticed the same issue on the following Masters Of Cinema discs: You can add The Blue Lagoon to this list as well ;) Also, I've now seen the same issue on the UK Arrow Woody Allen Blu-rays. I've now started a master list thread for this topic... if you can let me know the titles of those releases...

Blu-rays with extra video in m2ts files

Some Blu-rays have extra non-public video in the m2ts files, such as a test signal leader and/or technical title cards at the start, and/or textless elements at the end. The mpls playlist defines the start and end times that the player should use to omit this non-public material, however, MakeMKV do...

I’m assuming you’re referring to the 4K UHD per your title / the forum, and not the Blu-ray version.

Have you submitted the dump as per the stickied FAQ and “Volume Key” threads?

Re: TrueHD 7.1 (Atmos) track on mkv created by makemkv is NOT seen by TsMuxeR. Due to lack of AC3 core retention???

So, based on the above, there is no way to retain the 7.1 audio and create a BD with an mkv made by makemkv? Back up the disc instead of ripping to MakeMKV, and make your BD from original m2ts/mpls? Otherwise, I think you’ve answered your own question unless I’ve missed something, and a fellow user...

Re: version 1.16.0 in Windows XP

On Windows XP Pro SP3, I got the same error message as Username1267.

(I did install into a custom directory in order to differentiate from previous versions I also have installed. Will uninstall all versions and test default directory tomorrow.)

No issues on Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit.
