Re: MKV file has incorrect length (Blu-ray, Twin Peaks examp
Yes, an MKV's duration is the difference between the lowest timecode and the highest, not the length of the most convenient track. If an audio track extends beyond the bounds of a video track its bounds must be including the mkv duration as well. Congratulations, you've discovered one of the reasons...

You cut off the rest of the track info.
How long does it say the audio and subtitle tracks are?

Re: Audio in English, words in movie are Spanish?
You're ripping the wrong title. Disney has various 'cuts' of a movie on their Blu Ray discs. One for English, one Spanish and I think one French. All the m2ts files showing "signs" and such are replaced with m2ts files of the respective language the rest of the time the m2ts files are shar...

Re: Subtitles and CC
If you can copy your discs to a hard drive using DVDShrink reauthor mode this is a Windows batch that will use MakeMKV, CCExtractor, SubtitleEdit and MKVMerge to create an MKV from the discs containing the 608 closed captions in both srt and VobSub form. @if not defined EMode (Set "EMode=OFF&qu...

Re: seaQuest Season 1 German Blu-ray Release - Disc 2
Oh, I guess I should keep an eye on Amazon.de instead.
I keep away mostly because of a burning desire to get Eureka on Blu Ray and not having the money to spare.
I bought Season 2 of Transporter from .de only to find it had burnt in forced subtitles

Re: seaQuest Season 1 German Blu-ray Release - Disc 2
I'm annoyed. I got the Australian release of Quantum Leap S1 as well... then they didn't release any other season... THEN the complete series was released in America and now the AU release is just a waste of money. And they haven't released any other seasons of SQ... and I'm keeping an eye on Amazon...

Re: seaQuest Season 1 German Blu-ray Release - Disc 2
From my experience '<unknown>' file errors mean nothing and can be happily ignored. I've have at least two DVDs that trip it. I have two copies of one of them and they both cause it at the same place, so it's definitely something to do with the way the discs are authored. I contacted Mike about the ...

Re: MPC-HC x64 wont play ripped BD Jack Reacher - Never Go B
It's not the physical disc, if MakeMKV was having problems reading from it then it would say so. Plus AACS provides hashes for the m2ts files... if the disc was dirty there's no way it could slip past MakeMKV. Extract all the tracks using EAC3To, then remux them all using MKVMerge. See if that helps...

Re: 8-bit only rips of blu-ray
It's actually quite normal for Blu Ray players to process Blu Ray playback differently to file playback. MKVs actually have no ability to declare frame rates so a player may set the HDMI connection to ~24fps for an actual disc but leave it at ~60fps for an MKV made from the same disc. You're essenti...

Re: 8-bit only rips of blu-ray
What the hell are you on about? You said the receiver reported it as such. Receivers don't decode video, they decode audio, the best you can expect from a receiver is for it to upscale the video. I think what you're looking at is the format that's been transmitted through the HDMI connection which c...

Should I report bugs here or there?
Your elevation code doesn't work if the batch has a path with a space in it.
If there's a way to call cmd from powershell from cmd and pass arguments with spaces I haven't found it yet.
