How does each disc know that it's being ripped? very interesting stuff! and if the firmware writes that a disc has been read, when does the log become full? afterall, the ROM is only so big (usually something like 2MBs)
Does the drive report that it's been used to rip, invalidating our keys?

Re: MakeMKV price?
Yes, the purchase link is a bit hard to find, but you can purchase either through the app, or from the link in my sig. The beta has to be time limited because of new DRM systems that can render a BD drive useless until a new version of MakeMKV comes out. SC Hmm, that's interesting, if you don't min...

Feature request.
That is how MakeMKV doesn't allow tagging using MKVs global tags, and embedding images for the backdrop & coverart. will you please add support for this? Here's a link to the creator of MKVs page, and a link to the specs/DTD spec page: http://matroska.org/technical/specs/tag ... video.html DTD l...

MakeMKV price?
I'm VERY confused, you say that the time-limited but fully-functional beta of MakeMKV will last for 60 days, yet you ALSO say that you can download an updated version of it to reset the clock, so does/will MakeMKV cost anything? Hell, I can't even find a "buy" page anywhere. Also, do the k...

Re: Is there anything I am doing wrong or is it just a bug
Sounds like your table or record, or whatever MKV calls it, that basically keeps a list of each frame and where they are in the file, is either currupt of non-existant, there's a command you can use with mmg.exe to create these, although it creates a whole new file, so you'll have to delete the orig...

Streaming Blu-ray to TV?
How can I stream full Blu-ray rips from a little NAS/media server, to my TV? preferably without having to buy a set-top box, but honestly at this point, whatever works.
It needs to support FLAC (or PCM, it's converted cousin) and full bitrate blu-rays.

Re: Conversion profile for anyone interested.
I don't mean to offend anyone, and I'd be glad to hear vetoes, but I believe my conversion profile to be optimal for lossless compression, so is there any chance it can be stickied?

MakeMKV crashes when trying to save 3d MKV as a 2D MKV.
I'm trying to compress Tron: Legacy which I've ripped to MKV before, I kept the 3D part, but now I want to remove the 3D part, and I'm hoping to compress the lossless audio to FLAC, but MakeMKV keeps crashing, weather I choose to keep the 3D part or not. what's going on?

Re: If you had to choose
I'd go for the subtitle conversion, just because not many apps support PGS subs (like iTunes, and every iProduct evar) Audio transcoding options would be nice, but honestly, with the built-in FLAC conversion, I'm covered, and it's SO easy to convert FLAC to AAC. BTW, Nero's AAC isn't the best, I'd h...

Conversion profile for anyone interested.
Okay, so this "PERFECT" conversion profile supports all audio, subtitle, and video formats. Video: video tracks are copied lossless from the original source. Audio: audio is, depending on it's source, either compressed losslessly or copied over, lossy ones are copied, lossless formats are ...

Re: DTS-HD MA and True HD to LPCM
I am trying the used the advanced mode and ffmpeg to convert all DTS-HD MA and True HD soundtracks to LPCM with MakeMKV, but can't for the life of me figure out the correct settings. Anyone else doing this, can you share you settings? Now, I'm just a fellow user, but why would you want to convert c...

How to max compress FLAC without crashing MakeMKV?
I'm on Mac OS 10.8.2 with the latest MakeMKV, my Macbook has a quad core Intel i7 Ivy Bridge CPU and 16GB of DDR3 RAM, it's the retina macbook. I've already created a profile called Custom, but MakeMKV is crashing. here's the contents of my custom profile. I tried adding -use-lpc 8 because I read th...
