Re: New Version 1.10.2 Issues
It's probably just the usual issue of Media Players not being able to play VC-1 content without a constant frame drop. WD TV Live is the same. It should play fine on PC.

Re: Fringe: Season 1
Use mkvtoolnix to split the files at specific chapters...
Would be something like this..."9,16,24,32"
That's what I did with my Fringe Season 1.

1.10.2 BUG: Save Path
The Save Path keeps pointing to a specific folder even though I have it set to point to a different drive in the settings. It always points to this same folder no matter what setting I pick under Save Path. Auto, Semi-Auto, Custom... No difference.
Must be a bug.

Re: Empty Chapter at End of Rip?
I just used mkvmerge and split out the last chapter that was blank. Seen this on a few blu-rays.
I also split out the first 166 frames of Narcos as it was just the annoying Netflix logo.

Re: Title issues on ripping tv media
Once you rip the episodes contained in a single title, you can use mkvmerge to split them at specific chapters (being the ones where the next episode begins).
I did this with Supernatural and Fringe it came out perfect.

Nope, not free. Very pricey, but I got it for my video editing needs.MrVideo wrote:There is a DTS-HD-MA encoder out there? Free, I hope.angelgraves13 wrote:If need be, I also extract pcm to wavs and re-encode to DTS-HD MA and replace the pcm track.

Re: Using MKVmerge to 'tidy' MakeMKV output
I always run my MKVs through mkvmerge before archiving it.
I usually rename and/or remove unwanted tracks from the files and reorder forced subtitles above regular subtitles.
If need be, I also extract pcm to wavs and re-encode to DTS-HD MA and replace the pcm track.

MPC HC or BE is a much better player than VLC.

Re: Errors reading Star Wars Ep. 4, 5, and 6
Mine ripped fine. If you see that message, it usually means a bad disc. It could be something as tiny as a fingerprint, hair, or scratch causing it. Gently clean the disc if it's dirty and try again.

MPC BE Nightly is reporting more and more files as variable, but it seems it's just the bundled version of mediainfo.

Change Default Naming of Tracks
Is there a way that's not too complicated to set the naming of tracks? An example would be if I want Dolby TrueHD tracks to say "Dolby TrueHD" instead of "Surround." Another example is the video tracked being labeled MPEG-4 AVC if it's MPEG-4 and VC-1 if it's VC-1 based on codec ...

Batch Naming of Tracks and Streams
I'd like to see an option to batch-name all audio or video tracks on a disc with the same title.
Example:
"Surround 5.1" to "DTS-HD MA 5.1"
Subtitle (forced) track to "Forced"
It's useful when copying episodes of TV shows.

Re: Ripping X-Files(Akte X) Box Set (Limited Edition) correc
I ripped my entire set about a month ago, with the correct season 8 discs that I received from FOX. Make sure to get your replacement season 8 discs as the ones included in the set suffer from black crush. Most of the episodes are in the correct order already. It was only the season 2 or season 3 pr...

DVD Troubles
So I've noticed that MakeMKV has been making my DVD rips as "variable frame rate" instead of constant, and with an unmatching frame rate. Should I worry that it was copied incorrectly? Video ID : 1 Format : MPEG Video Format version : Version 2 Format profile : Main@Main Format settings, B...
