Re: Ex Machina
It seems to handle the DTS audio just fine in the 1080p rip as well as the 4k Handbrake file. Is there something different about the DTS track in the original 4k rip? I only extracted the 5.1 DTS audio from the 7.1 DTS-MA.

Ex Machina
Ripped Ex Machina 4k UHD using the current keys_hashed.txt file in my MakeMKV directory. Funny, though, my 3.2 gHz 6-core i7 Coffee Lake/UHD 630 gpu (8700/Asus BW-16D1HT) struggles playing the rip with VLC for some reason. I would have thought this chip would have handled the file just fine. Passed ...

Re: Unable to get UPnP working with Plex
I don't want to rip the disc to my hard drive, I want to play the movie straight off of the disc using UPnP. I tried with XBMC and it has the same problem.

Unable to get UPnP working with Plex
I am unable to get MakeMKV 1.5 to stream to Plex using UPnP. Here's what I'm doing: 1. Set up auto-discover UPnP in Plex 2. Insert Blu-ray disc ( Star Trek ), open it with Make MKV then start the streaming server 3. Back in Plex, choose the UPnP share ; EyeTV and Make MKV both show up 4. Open Make M...

Re: Playback
I'd like to add support to this as well. It would be rather trivial to add a function to Plex that could access the m2ts file or the appropriate playlist of a Blu-ray disc for playback. Plex already handles the three video codecs fine and it would probably be pretty easy to extract AC3 and DTS cores...

Re: Snow Leopard?
This will have to be done by the ffmpeg devs, since Plex uses it for playback decoding.tuyenvo wrote:I'm interested to see if the Plex guys will update the software to now take advantage of the NVidia GPUs which Snow Leopard now gives them access to.

Re: DVD->mkv, file playback on Mac
Yeah, Plex, or even XBMC, are tops for playback efficiency on Macs with scrapers.

Re: Stuttering Problem, please help!
Plex and XBMC use ffmpeg for playback, which is about the most efficient app out there (besides the special version of Quicktime that came with the Apple TV Take 2 software). You can knock those Blu-rays down with Handbrake. Be sure to use the current snapshot of HB, put it in an MKV container so th...

Re: .MKV to .M4V
Has anyone resolved this or came up with the best settings to use to convert .mkv to .m4v to playback on the Apple TV in HD? Any ideas how to encode .mkv anything else and keep the chapter markers? Yes, it's quite easy. 1. Rip with Make MKV. 2. Download the Handbrake 2592 svn: http://handbrake.fr/?...

Re: How much CPU do you need?
What app are you using for playback? I'd suggest you try XBMC or some other that uses ffmpeg.

Re: Question about Blu Ray rip - Meet the Robinsons
The playlist file should be the one that's about 95 minutes long. Usually the longest duration playlist on a disc is the main feature.

Re: Question about Blu Ray rip - Meet the Robinsons
I have successfully ripped Meet the Robinsons from Blu-ray using AnyDVD HD. I seem to recall it was fragmented, so I had to open the correct playlist in tsumuxer. This playlist was identified by BDinfo app on the Windows side. After ripping, I ran it through Handbrake to generate an m4v container.
