Re: Buy A License: Happy To Pay USD $50 But Not AUD $62
What can I say. This topic has already been addressed but it did not receive any acceptable outcome. I would just like to add that I don't like been ripped off. Current exchange rate makes USD $50 approx AUD $48. Without wishing to restart this argument, you are forgetting the US tax, so its really...

Re: Blu-ray to MKV Process
Thanks for the response - I was going to post some additional information as well. Currently, I am only running playback directly from my HTPC to the television (via HDMI). Could this be a possible codec / decoding issue? Again, I didn't think of mentioning this because other mkvs I have made have ...

Re: What about TWO preferred audio-languages?
come on guys, give it a rest :( Yes, it can be immensely irritating when the subject has been covered before, but if I hadn't messed around with the original set up to achieve language selection, I would also have not looked in advanced options. ... and it only takes a 2 word response - Preferences ...

Re: WTF...?? Makemkv says it only finds 5 gig on my 2 tb dr
Man what a pain in the arss..... Anyone want to try to solve this one? MakeMKV say that my destination hard drive is not big enough. It is almost empty and is a 2 tb harddrive. It says that some titles won't be copied if I continue. WTF? ? Almost empty means how much? What does properties say? Hidd...

Re: Suggestion : double preferred language
Hi all, I currently use English as "Preferred Language" in Preferences but I always also have to manually tick French audio and subtitles streams which is quite a burden. Could it be possible to have the possibility in a future MakeMKV version to select two "Preferred Languages"...

Re: [Windows] MakeMKV crashing when hard drive busy
Just to be clear, you started all the other processes, then opened MakeMKV? Also, can you try booting from cold, then directly after login while your HDD is still grinding, try loading MakeMKV. .[/quote] Yes - will try the other request if I ever get my Outlook system back, made the stupid mistake ...

Re: [Windows] MakeMKV crashing when hard drive busy
I noticed the other day when I booted into Windows 7 and loaded MakeMKV that it crashed right after loading, the fatal error and program exiting crash. I opened it again and it worked fine. Today, I was remuxing a file with MKVmergeGUI and opened MakeMKV, the same thing happened again. I tried open...

Re: Windows 8 Consumer Preview not working?
I have never had a problem with Makemkv and Win 8 - but I had to do a clean install of win 8 as it wouldn't upgrade my test win7 system successfully.
Apart from that problem it is just like win7 once you have removed the metro rubbish

As of today - Yes!flogger123 wrote:Hi twa000, did you manage to get a workaround on this?
With 1.7.3 I can update directly the defaults in makemkv preferences/advanced tab, and it all works
- no need to have a user profile

Re: Is storage big enough/safe for the rips?
I can only keep 100 movies on a 3 TB drive (almost $200 cost). and it could break at any time, seeing as hard drives are unreliable. what do you do about this? why is technology moving so slowly? Afraid as always, buy a 2nd disk and backup or a NAS box with more capacity. In reality disk technology...

Re: Started getting "Navigation Error" on ALL movies
I use MakeMKV (64-bit) to convert DVD ISO's --to-- MKV's. The ISO files are based on DVD-Shrink ISO's where the DVD is simplified (no menus, no extra tracks, etc). Again, using 1.5.8, there has never been a problem with this. So what software did you use to DVD shrink? As a workaround perhaps rip t...

Re: Windows 8 Consumer Preview not working?
Has anyone successfully ripped a Blu-Ray on the Windows 8 Developers Beta? I have tried Lord of the Rings Extended Edition (Fellowship and Two Towers) as well as Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 1. I already ripped Harry Potter when I was on Windows 7 so that was just a test after LOTR d...

Re: Windows Explorer under Win7 crashes upon opening directo
I agree it's easier to remove DivX, but an alternative is to dive into the DivX Media foundation components folder and rename XDivXThumbnailProvider.dll and XDivXPropertyHandler.dll - this normally solves the problem. If you really want to clean up and have Ccleaner then run a registry clean which w...

Re: Registration key
Check system time, just encountered error myself and system time was off. Edit I was going to leave it at that but now that I'm thinking about it...rubs me the wrong way. DRM (no matter how basic) has no place in a beta. Sorry but this is not DRM. Most software app's that use a freeby, 30 day trial...
