@Mike
How could we know where zero-sectors are written inside a 70 Gb FMTS file size ???
Or am I missing something ?

Re: AACS 2.1 support
I've tried to create a protected backup ISO of my Fury UHD disc and mounted the relative image on virtual drive. MakeMKV seems to decrypt disc but when it starts to decrypt and check hash integrity of M2TS files, says that 00001.M2TS (which has the real .FMTS extension) has some errors and the relat...

Re: UHD support
Is it normal that with latest MakeMKV version, submitted dumps are so small (90 kB size approx) instead of the larger ones (3 MB) of previous version ?
I've submitted few days ago dumps to Mike (SVQ mail address) but I can't decrypt my original UHD disc yet (Captain Marvel UHD Italian disc).

WH16NS60 works fine on MakeMKV, but not with other softwares (except first fw in DeUHD).

@SamuriHL
Yes you can and after flashing and powering off PC, drive will be properly detected by DOSFLASH MTK Vendor Intro command.

Re: LG BH16NS55 Firmware 1.04 (and possibly other new drives)
Some little steps forward : - When you use the Asus ODD Flasher (modified) to downgrade unit, DOSFLASH still doesn't work, i.e. the MTK Vendor Intro Failed error is still present. - In order to be able to dump the downgraded unit, you have to power off PC and boot again. In this way DOSFLASH works f...

Re: LG BH16NS55 Firmware 1.04 (and possibly other new drives)
I've found that even downgrading 3.10 to older fw, DOSFLASH always reports MTK Vendor Intro Failed error.
Can anyone confirm this please ?

Re: LG BH16NS55 Firmware 1.04 (and possibly other new drives)
I've tried on my BH16NS55 crossflashed to ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.10 firmware and I confirm I'm unable to dump fw
using DOSFLASH (any version). I'm trying to figure out how circumvent the "MTK Vendor Intro Failed" error but
I am at a dead point.

Re: LG BH16NS55 Firmware 1.04 (and possibly other new drives)
Dosflash can be modded for specific MediaTEK chipset as well as for specific bank reading (the same for writing) and for vendor commands. I can't find BH16NS55 device already shipped with 1.04 firmware onboard, but if someone could point me an amazon shop (in Europe) I'll buy one to be able to extra...

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches
Also, just an FYI, it looks like LG whacked dosflash in the NS55 1.04 firmware that hasn't been released on their website yet but Marty got one shipped to him. Yey? LOL I didn't know anything about 1.04 fw, but my BH16NS55 units have been crossflashed to BW-16D1HT 3.10 libredrive fw and work like a...

Even if you brick drive, it is always possible, under DOSFLASH, to reprogram MediaTek eeprom.

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware
You have to dump your 3.03 firmware first and then use the hex edit method in order to properly accomodate needed data into 3.02 bin file and flash it.

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
1) 3.01 or 3.02 modded fw make your unit to be UHD friendly. 2) Yes, it supports any MediaTek MT1939/MT1959 chipset (mainly LG, ASUS). 3) Win7-PE, as the name suggests, is a Windows 7 Portable Edition, which is needed to properly execute DOSFLASH32. If you carefully read my own guide, you'll find an...
