Re: (Solved) Hacksaw Ridge and Hidden Figures Won't Rip
Just got the new hack file and am now able to rip "Hidden Figures". Thanks for adding the new hack from the file I sent in. You are the best. As for "Hacksaw Ridge", after trying the second disk, I have come to realize from the error log that the hack file will decode the UHD dri...

Re: Hacksaw Ridge and Hidden Figures Won't Rip
Already checked this. Set drive for no auto open and no default programs. Will keep trying.preserve wrote:Make sure that no other programs are trying to access your drive while MakeMKV is.
Try doing a disc backup first - without decryption - instead of ripping it.

Hacksaw Ridge Won't Rip
This is the second copy of Hacksaw Ridge in UHD and neither one would rip. When I tried the new one today, the first time I tried it the data on the screen showed "Hacksaw Ridge", however, after that it would only show "no disc". I have tried it multiple times and no joy. The dri...

Re: Hacksaw Ridge and Hidden Figures Won't Rip
My replacement copy of Hacksaw Ridge arrived this afternoon but still no joy. I have been able to rip a couple of other UHD titles but this one won't do it. When I first put it in, it identified as Hacksaw Ridge but would not allow me to rip. After that, all it will tell me is no disc inserted. I gu...

Re: The BIG backup button
Thanks for the info. And I do agree that MakeMKV should also have this option.paulster wrote:I like AnyDVD for backups of all my disks to ISO format. I really with MakeMKV would offer this as an option though, so I could use a single product for everything.

Re: The BIG backup button
MakeMKV does not make backups of DVD discs, since there are other tools out there for doing this. Since MakeMKV does make "backups" of Blu-ray and UHD, it would be nice if it handled DVD as well, it would just add to making MakeMKV the all-in-one solution. Since that is the case, can you ...

Re: The BIG backup button
I tried makemkv with my new setup to deal with UHD bluray. I saw the backup button (whick inside the menu) on grey for quite a while. After some trying and google, I just noticed that if I want to backup, I should press the BIG button in the very first, don't need to choose OPEN DISC in menu. Once ...

(Solved) Hacksaw Ridge and Hidden Figures Won't Rip
Just this afternoon, I received to new UHD discs from Amazon. I was able to rip the bluray discs for both Hacksaw Ridge and Hidden Figures but when I tried to rip the UHD versions to my 4K Movie directory, they would not rip. Tried multiple times. To verify there was nothing wrong with my new Asus d...

Re: Buying a blu-ray reader for PC, Asus BW-16D1HT or BC-12D
Just to leave a feedback. I've got the Asus BC-12D2HT reader and I successfully ripped my first Blu-Ray! As for the UHD discs, if a get my hands on one of those, I'll give it a try. Thanks again to yorgo for the tip and hope this helps someone else. I have the Asus BW-16D1HT drive. It arrived yeste...

Re: Failed to rip The Martian on Blu Ray
I just recently ordered this movie from Amazon and it burned perfectly. I have since watched the movie with no problems what ever. I have had a few issues with other movies and they were always problems with older or dirty discs. I now make it a policy to burn the disks when I first receive them and...
