Re: WANTED: Results of UHD Rips with Dolby Vision
Hi everyone, I've got a few UHD discs now but I'm looking to buy the Asus BW16D1H and an Oppo 203 player. My understanding is that I will be able to make UHD rips with Dolby Vision using DVDfab. Will I be able to play these on the Oppo (over the network) even on rips that contain Cinavia? If you ha...

Re: UHD drives
What is the preferred blank blu-rays to buy for 1-1 copy. 25gb 50gb -R Any brand much better than other compatibility? Thanks. It’s going to depend on the size of the original disc. Do your research on UHD BD disc capacities: Example: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_HD_Blu-ray Then research b...

Re: Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom
At least one disc was supported as of 10 days ago. It is listed as "JWFK_UPK75". The movie title is not spelled out as most of the other titles.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 10:16 pmi dont see Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom in the hashed keys yet so thats probably why

Re: UHD drive
Hello, I'm new to all this and have been reading through a lot of the information everyone graciously shares. From what I've read it sounds best to get and internal drive and throw it into an external enclosure. I sounds best to get a "UHD Friendly" drive over an "Official Drive"...

Re: Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom
Anyone get this to work? Just wondering if I have a bad disc. Thanks. Yes, it has been ripped successfully. And as Woodstock implies, simply saying "it does not work" does not help us help you. Something like this could be useful for us in trying to assist you: https://www.makemkv.com/for...

Re: UHD drives
Thanks, Also to make sure, Pretty much every 4k movie that you can burn/copy can it be played on the x box. I’ve seen a mixed bag of results when people try to burn 1:1 copies (full folder structures and/or full ISO file) of UHD BDs and try to play them back in ANY 4K player. (E.g. Xbox One, OPPO, ...

Re: v1.12.3 attempts to contact hkdatastore.tk
I didn't let it: as a domain hkdatastore.tk looks dodgy as hell and I can't find any information about it from a web search. This has been addressed and discussed here in the forums. Including by Mike here: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=17861 A "web search" might ...

So would any of the other ASUS be a better choice than the other brand? The most popular and readily available models are: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17856&p=65005&hilit=Popular#p65005 If you don’t want to complicate your life over this. Pick one of those and buy...

2.Also would the external Asus BW-16D1X-U work? If not what is a good driver easy to get going and from where should I buy it, Im located USA. If is internal I would get the Vantec NST-536S3 USB 3.0 External Enclosure Thanks. What you ask there (#2) has been discussed on multiple occasions already....

Re: Predator 2
Well that’s the thing. Sometimes some apps can handle some discs better than others. This is from experience. Hence why I asked.
I always recommend to have more than one ripping app just in case. I know some cost more than others, so in the end it’s up to each individual.

Do you have access to other UHD BD ripping software?
As much a fan of MakeMKV that I am in some cases trying other software can either yield a succesful rip or further information to the problem.

Did you try #2 from the link that was provided? Slow down and read all that was provided. It may not be the disc.

Re: Unable to read UHD with friendly drives
The only difference between the BC snd BW is the packaging. One is the OEM and the other is the RETAIL. IT’S THE SAME DRIVE. As you’ve been told before (https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17223&p=64927&hilit=12B1ST#p64927), it’s listed INCORRECTLY as a friendly drive. Tha...
