Re: LG BP50NB40 Firmware
They are there. We call them MK as it is easier than NM.................. Also, BU40N 1.00 is recommended over BP60NB10 1.00-MK as has better software compatibility. Check out the SDFtool Flasher thread. Thanks! I found those. I assumed the filenames matched the generic firmware names. One more thi...

Re: Pioneer BD-RW BDR-XD07 - Troubleshooting 4kUHD discs not reading
Good morning, Out of the box it shouldn’t be, that much I know. But there has to be a way to flash the XD07 an other pioneer drives, because its getting advertised and sold as such here in this forum. For example, here the XD07TS (the one I have) is getting advertised as “cross flashed” to a XD07TU...

Re: Pioneer BD-RW BDR-XD07 - Troubleshooting 4kUHD discs not reading

Re: LG BP50NB40 Firmware
First of all, a big thanks to everyone involved with the UHD Flashing Guide. An absolutely crazy amount of information there. I picked up an LG BP50NB40 drive with SVC code NB50. I have read the entire guide and it seems I first need to go to BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK, then to BP60NB10-1.00MK. The probl...

Re: WH16NS40 Firmware for rip UHD
Hi, I am planning to rip my UHD collection with DVDFab and will buy the WH16NS40 on Amazon, I assume it is FW 1.05 and SVC:NS50 I reference many posts here but would like to confirm again my step is right and safe, thanks. 1. Use the SDFtool Flasher (v1.3.5) 2. Flash the "HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Hi Mike I have just come across a UHD disc that MakeMKV cannot read and that, with a Verbatim name on it, is shown as a Pioneer BDR-UD04 in the device manager. Amongst all the posts on Pioneer I couldn't find how to fix this - is there a guide for idiots on how to make this pioneer drive work? Than...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Is there an easy ffmpeg command to convert an .mp4 with embedded DV (profile 5) to .mkv? Looks like ffmpeg doesn't support dvh1 codec in mkv. Try something like: ffmpeg -i dvh1.mp4 -c copy -vtag dvhe dvhe.mkv I don't know if the mkv will play proper Dolby Vision though. Try using mkvtoolnix

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Hello, I'm a long time user of makemkv. Been using multiple LG and Asus drives without any issues so far. Just replaced one of my my dead Asus BW-16D1X-U with another unit and was trying to flash the FW using SDFtool Flasher v1.3.1 and FW file ASUS-BW-16D1H-U-A204-WM01001-211901041044.bin. The succ...
