you could always build a client pc to go under the tv and then use media portal to play the bluray mkvs or flac files etc, if you put a tv in another room and another client pc you can stop the movie in one room and resume playback in another.

also if you install anydvd it will tell you which track would normally be played in a bluray player, so you can just use that track

when you select which titles to rip, look for the individual titles and there run time, instead of the 1 big title which will have all the episodes as u say in one big file. If you click on an individual title in the tree it will show the length of the epsidoe/film and that can help when choosing wh...

ripped to hdd with anydvd and then sent through makemkv with similar results to the track length, but no errors like above when processing except for Calculated BUP offset for VTS #6 does not match one in IFO header.
will watch back at some point and see if anything obviously wrong with it.

vlc reports a playback time of 1:24:13 where as mkv reports 1:24:07 wonder what the difference is ?

ok, after research i see on imdb that season 6 episode 1 also includes episode 2 (infact there is no episode 2) but on the tvdb they have listed them as seperate episodes so no fault of mkv think the tvdb is partially wrong.

this disc has 4 episodes on it, now all these discs so far have picked up individual files for each episode, but with this disc it picks up 2 seperate episodes and then seemd to combine 2 episodes into 1. so the track is 16 gigs and an 1 hour 20 ish in length, now just wondered whether this was mkv ...
