You might have to tick "Expert Mode" in the General tab first to see that tab.

Re: Movie bakcup problem MARLEY AND ME, and LadyHawke
Glad to be of help
Besides, the problem with "Update your player" happened to me in the past as well, when trying to open such a ripped BluRay with VLC Player. So it's not just official players showing that problem.

E.g. DVDfab Passkey can also remove those BD+-things:

MakeMKV only removes AACS as much as I know, not BD+

Looking some around, I fine sample files from the Kodi Wiki: https://kodi.wiki/view/Samples#4K_(UltraHD)_Formats
Or you download Big Buck Bunny in 4K from https://download.blender.org/demo/movies/BBB/

Is this by chance a Disney DVD?
Any difference, when you select another Opening Mode? See viewtopic.php?f=7&t=28541

Re: mkvtoolnix not multiplexing files correctly
Did you add files or append files? Because if you added files, then basically you have one video with multiple "angles". https://i.imgur.com/gJufzdk.png (https://i.imgur.com/gJufzdk.png if the picture isn't shown) Try adding each title with "Append" to the previous one. For that ...

Quick update. Looks like after a long period of time i was able to rip the disk with dvd decrypter by ignoring the errors. how do i get the episode im having trouble with out of the files is has taken off the disk? Re: Person of Interest S3 D2 Sector Read Errors
The current version of MakeMKV can create an ISO of a DVD. Does the error happen there as well? Just enter the DVD and click on the Backup icon on MakeMKV. Could also very much be a copy protection libe ARccOS or RipGuard, though MakeMKV usually detects this. But of course there always can be someth...

Re: Two video files?
Is this a 3D movie? Then you can deselect the "3D" part so to speak.

Re: How to support x265
DVDs usually use MPEG2 for the video tracks
BluRays usually use x264 for the video tracks
UHDs usually use x265 for the video tracks
As already said you can rip the movies and transcode them via e.g. Handbrake.

Re: how to create VUK from AACS dump file?
In the keydb file there are lots of entries for UHD movies.
Though even if you have the VUK, you still need to come around the bus encryption.

Re: how to create VUK from AACS dump file?
There are things like FindVUK which (in this case) depend on DVDfab applications and users working with it.
They read the VUK from the disc and then save them onto an online database.

Re: ISO vs MKV
That might depend on what one wants to achieve. I have a NAS with like 65TB. Whenever I get a DVD or BluRay, first thing I do is create an ISO backup of the disk and put it onto the NAS. Then I go ahead and rip the ISO to get the various MKV files and transcode them with handbrake. So in the end I h...
