Re: How many TB drive to hold complete GOT series?
This will be a little bit off since I have season 8 as UHD, but, all my MKV rips of GoT total 887 gigs. So, figure if you're doing them as MKV, about 1TB.

Send it to svq@makemkv.com. That's the proper address for log dumps.

Re: AACS 2.1 support
For those who really want an unprotected ISO using MakeMKV: @echo off set backup_dir=D:\Video\BACKUP set DEST=D:\ISO set drive=g: for /f "tokens=1-5*" %%1 in ('vol %drive%') do ( set vol=%%6 & goto done ) :done echo Found: %vol% mkdir %backup_dir%\%vol% "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mak...

Re: Once upon a time in Hollywood
That's just the nature of uhd. It's why I have 2 drives in my machine. When one doesn't like a particular disc, the other usually reads it. Most of the time anyway.

Re: The Matrix UHD rip failed
Playing is not the same as ripping. Microfiber clean the disc, even if it "looks" clean, and if it still can't be read get the disc replaced. Most of us microfiber clean the disc directly after opening a brand new package because contrary to popular belief just because it's brand new doesn...

Re: "Fury" error
There's another possibility. Isn't Fury a triple layer? I wonder if it being external that it's not fast enough or losing connection with the drive? Just throwing out the thought. Not saying that's for sure the problem. Just another potential issue with it being USB.

Re: "Fury" error
It appears the host certificate has been revoked by your drive. Is libredrive mode enabled for your drive in MakeMKV? If you can't use libredrive, you will need to wait for MakeMKV to be updated with new certificate. That's a good catch. I didn't see LibreDrive in the log so it's very possible the ...

Re: "Fury" error
Looks like errors reading the disc. Try cleaning the disc with a microfiber cloth. If that doesn't work, the disc may need to be replaced.

Re: AACS 2.1 support
The reason I say it would be nice to have MakeMKV be able to open the ISO directly, especially I guess with this AACS 2.1 stuff not that it really matters for ISO, is that it cuts out the middle man. When you mount the ISO, MakeMKV treats it as another drive as it doesn't know any better. Therefore ...

Re: AACS 2.1 support
Until AACS 2.1 I've never had any real issue with protected ISO's, created with AnyDVD or with the LibreDrive/MakeMKV method. As long as the protected ISO is not bus encrypted in any way, MakeMKV should have no issue with it once MakeMKV has the title key. As Mike explained, you can't get the VID fr...

Re: AACS 2.1 support
From what I recall standard anydvd iso backups were not working for me with MakeMKV due to lack of discatt.dat The discatt.dat is needed for two things: 1. If bus encryption is present, then discatt.dat contains the read key for bus encryption 2. It contains vid metadata from the disc. Without it i...
