Re: Choosing the correct title
Search for the title on this or other sites and you can usually find the correct selection.

Most likely, your disc is bad. Get a replacement.

Re: Aspect Ratio is always 16:9
I think your talking about XBMC or the like. I hate this too. All BluRay's are 16:9. The black bars are encoded into the video. So using something like makemkv to backup the movies causes XBMC to think everything is 16:9. The worst problem is there is ZERO way to override this without re-encoding t...

Re: Output file much smaller than source file
Thanks a lot. Is it also safe to say that when the file size is smaller, then the quality is also less? When it comes to audio, LPCM is uncompressed and takes up the most space, DTS-HD Master Audio (MA) or Dolby TrueHD are both loss less compression and take up less space because of compression but...

Re: Supernatural: Season 2 - Not separate episodes?
Mike, I think what he's pointing out is that there are 6 episodes within the two big files, but only 4 individual episodes shown when using 1.8.4. Actually, the 4 "individual episodes" are only 2 episodes listed twice. The two with 5 chapters at 6.9 GB are the same and the two with 6 chap...

Re: Output file much smaller than source file
You've selected only the DD or DTS core, for the highest quality audio, you should select DTS-HD or Dolby TrueHD. And yes, not selecting all (or the highest quality uncompressed) audio, can result in much smaller files.

Re: Supernatural: Season 2 - Not separate episodes?
I needed to re-rip my Supernatural discs and ran into this issue where all six episodes on a disc are combined into one mkv to be created. The first disc I checked was season 1, disc 1. Since I ripped the discs before, I didn't remember this happening with the version I used previously. I checked wh...

Re: Question about subtitles
Easiest is to re-rip the disc. MakeMKV should default to ripping the forced subtitles. Iron Man has a separate track for forced subtitles, so you could end up with 2 tracks that have the same forced subtitles, if you have English subtitles checked along with English (forced only) sub check box. Iron...

Re: naming help for tv shows+xbmc scraper
I wonder if Mike could implement the API to thetvdb.com? http://thetvdb.com/wiki/index.php?title=Programmers_API That would be an AWESOME addition to MakeMKV! Then it could be a simple "insert disc, click rip" procedure to get our libraries properly ripped, tagged, named, and up on our me...

Re: naming help for tv shows+xbmc scraper
You can name the tracks before they're ripped, but I don't know that it will save you any time.
Select Preferences -> General tab, check Expert Mode check box.
Then for each title, you can select the file name in the drop down box under Properties and then change the file name.
