Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Has anyone ever figured out a workaround for this issue that doesn't involve splitting the file (which I really would prefer not to have to do)? Surely there's some way to change a setting in tsmuxer that allows the file to be seekable... I dont think there's anything you can do about it except usi...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi again @RESET_9999! I followed your advice and installed Kodi in the my C2 but im having some problems regarding the resolution and refresh rate options in the app.. In the display settings, only the 1920x1080p resolution is available, and in the whitelist options it only shows 1 available (1920x...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
On LG TVs, for HDR10 it uses maxcll if it's under MDL otherwise it uses MDL. But yeah that sounds like the crappy group WiLDCAT/EPS. I remember a while ago , they even tried to convince people that the HDRplus_tools was wrong which is totally false. I wouldn't believe a word they say. and once again...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi RESET, using cm_analyze to generate DV will result in a CMv4.0 file with latest algorythm; what exactly do you loose when converting this file down to CMv2.9? The goal being to make it compatible with ATV for example (and even when Infuse adds support for CMv4.0, I understood from your previous ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Also, is there are difference in HDR quality when choosing a, say, MDL 10000 over 4000? Yes, 4000 MDL looks much darker vs 1000. As for the metadata, the L1 max and min are the same but the avg is not calculated the same. Trims are also different. see: https://slow.pics/c/xlgE3H1t I also cannot see...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
if you input a folder and no config file is found, it will ask you for a MDL and L5 which will be used for all the videos in the folder. If the videos in your folder are cropped, the script won't ask you about it and will automatically set L5 to 0 https://i.ibb.co/2hFgBJG/Windows-Terminal-f-ANT6-Wg-...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBqbG5XM54g if your folder with files all have the same MDL and Active area, you don't have to provide external config files. PS: please ask your dovi_scripts questions on doom9 official support thread: https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=185317 I'll eventually s...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
7-1 would be a waste of time for a MEL input. You can use 7-2 instead(it works for single input too).

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Ok i think i figured out why positive trim offset is ignored in TV-LED HDMI source. That value is the ''lift'' control in Resolve and unlike slope(gamma?) and power(gain?) , offset(lift) metadata will raise black bars if higher than 0.025(2100 in 12bit pq) and if the device doesn't use L5. So this m...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 Is it okay to split and later merge DV mkv files. Does it cause any issues? I don't know, I never tried but if you don't remove any frames I guess it should be fine? Sometimes I have to trim the start of a video and after, I always verify if my first frame still starts with a scene cut.
