Re: Which Title / Unchecked Audio?

Secondly, I'm not sure I understand the audio track checkboxes. I'm not talking about the DD 2/0 English track, I know that's a commentary track, but why is there a DTS HD Lossless English track (unchecked), with the DTS 3/2+1 English track underneath it? When I ripped Wall-E the other day, I check...

Re: Auto down-convert to 25GB

@Wasabi The point is that "matthewdonan" has as much right to ask about what is important/desirous to him, regardless of level of complexity, as you have to ask about what's important/desirous to you... @I Need To Be Noticed So I Make My Text Blue No, the point is I have just as much righ...

@setarip_old

No need to be snarky. Splitting by chapter is spectacularly trivial. Adding video transcoding is anything but...

Re: Feature Request - File Split by Chapter

I think this would be a great idea! For now, though...If you load the MKV into MKVMerge, you can import the chapter list and cut and paste the chapter stops into the "split by" section of MKVMerge. If you're a complete newbie to MKVMerge here's a simple step-by-step method: 1) Open the MKV...

Re: Auto down-convert to 25GB

I hope not. There are already a myriad of options available to do what you want that work brilliantly. There's nothing else that does what MakeMKV does. Is it really that horrible to use another piece of mature software to compress your rips down to 25GB without distracting the author of MakeMKV by ...

mike admin wrote:Guys, you all know about right-click on title tree and selecting "uncheck all" from a popup menu, rrright? :)

That's cool and all, but choosing a language in the Preferences to automatically select would be way cooler. I think most people only want one language of audio & subs.

Re: List of DVD/BluRay that haven't worked

Carbon Copy & A Cry In The Dark NTSC DVDs don't show the available audio track(s). There's only a "Video" section when you expand the Title for the main movie. The resulting MKV plays okay, and you can mux in the audio once you've extracted it via another means.

Re: NO Blu Ray discs work

Of course Media Center is his problem, because it sucks! If the MKV files play fine in VLC or MPC or KMPlayer or any other program, then the problem is Media Center. I've got a brand new build that plays everything perfectly via KMPlayer/ffdshow or VLC, but Media Center chokes with pretty much...

Re: How much CPU do you need?

Thanks for your help, I narrowed it down to a codec problem. Some of the full Bluray rips play just fine using the CoreAVC codec using less than 30% CPU, the other rips use Microsofts default codec sending my CPU through the roof. I cant for the life of me figure out why some Bluray rips use one co...

Re: Suggestion: prefs for which checkboxes to auto-check

I love this idea, and it seems simple enough to implement. I pretty much go through the same routine as you, manually unchecking a ton of boxes, only to have a very select few remaining. I'm not sure how feasible this is, but would it be possible to preview the audio tracks? I'd like to keep comment...

Re: Very low audio

This is normal. I believe it's to accommodate the wider dynamic range of the 5.1 audio track.

Your software might have an option to compensate. I know in KMPlayer there is a setting called "Pre-amplify AC3/DTS Volume to proper level".
