Re: Why Do I Need a Beta Key to Rip DVDs?
No answer is also an answer. I don't mind paying for software at all, but what I don't like is a wishiwashi game like this. @Mike: no rush, I just went with Leawo Blu-ray Ripper. Better ratings, lower price. It is not a lower price though is it? You've just paid for a year and will have to do so ag...

Re: Beta key
What few are considering is the fact that, as a beta program, it changes on a regular basis to keep up with copy protection. The expiring key is intended to encourage you to check for newer versions. In the old days, new versions were issued more frequently than every 60 days, and new versions had ...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri
Just wanted to say many thanks to the OP for making this tool available. Just easily flashed my ASUS 16D-1HT drive down to 3.02 and it works without fuss. Great stuff

Re: Last version 1.14.2 not work.
Yes something definitely up. I managed to rip a bluray and DVD OK but was getting this message on startup of the program: LibreDrive firmware support is not yet available for this drive (id=F8B3C9080B22) My 4K friendly drive would not open the Mission Impossible Fallout UHD disk. So I re-downloaded ...

Re: Inconsistent File Size
Yes I am yet to see such a large variation in size on a single episode hence the post. But it all seems to be there so it is what it is.

Inconsistent File Size
I just ripped Gomorrah Season 3 bluray. There are 12 episodes and eleven are of the size 8.1Gb-11.5Gb. However, for some reason Episode 6 is only 3.7Gb. It was ripped in the same way as the others and has the 5.1 Italian track and English subtitles just like the others. Seems to be the full thing wh...

Re: multiple instances of makemkv to rip 2 discs simultaneou
A fast NAS can handle at least 6 instances of MakeMKV ripping simultaneously. I've just ordered a fourth burner so I could potentially have three internal burners and one external USB burner in order to rip four discs at once to the same drive. My CPU is an ancient Core 2 Duo E5200 with only 2Gb of...

Re: multiple instances of makemkv to rip 2 discs simultaneou
Why would you want multiple instances of MakeMKV if you only have one optical drive? They would fight each other over access to that drive. Or are you referring to a single destination drive? I do that all the time.... A fast NAS can handle at least 6 instances of MakeMKV ripping simultaneously. Th...

Re: multiple instances of makemkv to rip 2 discs simultaneou
Start MakeMKV. In Preferences->IO, check the box "Ask for single drive mode". Click on OK. Exit MakeMKV. From then on, every time you start MakeMKV, it will ask you if you want this instance to control "all" drives, or just one. Start as many instances as you need, selecting a d...

OK cheers I'll give it a go later this week. I thought that I'd read that wouldn't work but if it does then problem solved easily.paulster wrote:Just launch MakeMKV twice. That's how I do it on Windows.

Re: multiple instances of makemkv to rip 2 discs simultaneou
Came via Google to this old thread. I might be being thick but I can't see the option. I would like to run two instances simultaneously. I'm on Windows not Mac.mike admin wrote:By popular demand, starting with 1.7.7(1) there is a new item in Application menu - open new instance.
