Re: Multiple copies of the movie on a BD
When Marnie was There is a two year-old movie. Now that Universal is doing that stupid obfuscation, you'll never see that situation again.

Re: Multiple copies of the movie on a BD
Can't test now but I believe I am correct; with these discs, there is a playlist of a single M2TS segment, usually for each of the opening and end credits, and the movie without credits. Can report once verified. I await your report. With BD authoring, a play list cannot reference another play list...

Re: Reorder tracks
mkvmerge will allow you to rebuild a MKV file and re-arrange to order of things. You can even remove items when rebuilding.

Re: Multiple copies of the movie on a BD
Because each complete movie playlist is cobbled together from multiple segments of which each may have its own playlist, you could be finding the one in between the credits (ie, most of the main movie) which will have the shorter runtime. If you watch this MKV, you'll probably notice it abruptly st...

Re: Batman v Superman; no audio, intel graphics?
It is. The core is 5.1. I haven't tried putting a 7.1 HD soundtrack thru VLC recently. Since I only have an optical connection to my amp, the core is supposed to be extracted and sent over the optical connection.beatsntoons wrote:I always thought 7.1 was backwards compatible

Universal/Lionsgate is the only company that is using obfuscation.yorgo wrote:This is called "screen pass protection" or "playlist obfuscation" and is quite common with discs from many studios like Lionsgate.

Re: Wreck-It Ralph - which .mpls?
I know this is an old thread, but I just opened a disk with 300 title variations. If the Blu-Ray player can know what to play, the information must be on the disk somewhere. Is there a way MakeMKV can find it and highlight the default title? It is a Java code thing. The Java code looks for the fact...

You can use mkvmerge to do that.yorgo wrote:On a couple rare occasions, I've opened an MKV with MakeMKV to re-create and eliminate unwanted audio tracks.

Re: Allegiant
Researching this it seems the best/fastest way to find the correct segment map is to first backup the entire disc. When backing up make sure to decrypt. The backup will be of normal size. The obfuscation will not be backed up. Then knowing you need to work with a certain subset of segments your job...

Not going to happen any time soon. If you had searched the forum you would have discovered that the AACS2.0 that is used with 4k UHD releases has not been hacked, yet.danBoi2016 wrote:any idea when u will be releasing MakeMKV update for ripping 4k uhd blurays?

Re: Fabulous Audio Blu Ray
Some it can't through the optical connection. Especially 7.1 sound. Not interested in 7.1 sound. I'm going to guess that you are not using an HDMI connection to the amp, just an optical connection. At most that means you will only get DTS5.1 and DolbyDigital5.1. I know that AAC can also be passed o...
