support@makemkv.com is the fastest way to get hold of Mike, and he is the one who can deal with activation key issues.
I assume you've gone back to the email from avangate.com and copied/pasted the key directly out of there into the registration box on MakeMKV already.

Re: Just installed newest version, still says it's too old
If you don't like the price, put up with the need to repeatedly enter a new access key.
It's been discussed multiple times on this forum that the price is the price. If it isn't worth it to you, well, it isn't worth it to you. Mike is not planning on changing the price.

Re: makemkvcon and Dolby 5.1
This is really a question for the handbrake forum, and they'll want the log from the encode. You can get that by adding "2>logfilename.txt" to the end of the handbrakecli line. At a guess, though, I'd say the default audio settings are putting the downmixed AAC track first in the track ord...

Re: Just installed newest version, still says it's too old
But the current beta key is expired... and a week before it normally would.
Until Mike replaces the beta key, you'll have to set your system DATE back to 20 March long enough to start MakeMKV, then you can restore it to the current date.

Re: Hacksaw Ridge
The version you download is the same version the rest of us use. If you don't have "Expert mode" turned on, you will have less information and the controls are simplified. If you do not have debug logging turned on, what is shown in the status window is reduced. These settings are found in...

Re: Updated MakeMKV?
The point of an expiring beta key is two-fold. Keep people updating to newer versions, and (the main one) it's less convenient than having a paid, permanent key. As for automatic updating of the program... Let's just say that the newer version is not always better. If you're using MakeMKV on HD DVDs...

Re: Evaluation version expired?
It appears that the current beta key expired a week earlier than normal. The first complaint was on 22 March; setting your system date temporarily to the 20th to start the program will probably work.

Re: Updated MakeMKV?
Suggestion: set the date on your computer back to 15 March, and see if the message stops. You can put it back to current once the program starts
The key is SUPPOSED to be good for another week.
Emails to support@makemkv.com will get Mike's attention faster than forum messages.

You'd think so, but.... Getting additional files may push Mike to work on it.

Re: About this copy bluray files to harddrive
Do you have debug logging turned on? If so, try the operations again, and copy the log information to a reply here. Don't bother trying to do an attachment, just put the log into the text of the message.
The files necessary do generate the volume key are not reliably copied by the operating system.

Re: Displayed Information after Ripping and Settings
For MOST movies, you can use the box info on run time to guess which is the right one (or right ones, when dealing with different cuts of a movie). Sometimes you end up doing this with the "$5 bin" movie collections, where you can only tell which movie is which by the length, or by playing...

Re: Displayed Information after Ripping and Settings
A lot has to do with your settings. If you are not in Expert mode (Preferences->General), you won't see a lot of the pull-downs on the selection screen, because the screen is simplified. And most of the people hanging out here forget what the screen looks like without expert mode, including me. :rol...

The files don't get attached to messages here - they get emailed to svq@makemkv.com so that Mike can deal with them directly.

You can also edit the file names on each title, if you want. When dealing with TV series, I use copy/paste a LOT.
