From what i have been reading on the kodi forums. The issue is with ffmpeg’s max bitrate cap for truehd/atmos. Currently 10Mbit and the truehd spec is max 18Mbit. It’s not a mkv encoding issue

Windows has way to much overhead, just use a $99 dedicated media player that runs linux. OSMC Vero4K+

Sometimes I would like t...

Re: AACS 2.1 support
@mike admin, I mentioned this already in various unrelated other posts. The mkv file format doesn't cover all features anymore that are available on UHD discs today. Especially DolbyVison and HDR. Therefore I use makemkv only to decrypt UHDs and copy to folder w/o converting to mkv. My opinion is t...

KODI Chapter Skip Function with MKV's Broken
is anyone else having a issue with MKV's in KODI with chapters not skipping? i don't know if it's a KODI issue or a MakeMKV issue? i use a OSMC Vero4K+, and the dev told me it was because "remuxes do not use align chapters with key frames." is this something mike can fix or is this a KODI ...
