Re: How to rip part of a movie.

Why don't you just preview the file in your media player of choice?

Re: DTS-HD HRA (XBR) decoding fails

Which conversion profile are you using? I had trouble with mine for awhile, and it worked fine with the default profile.

FLAC settings?

Mike, could you include the ability to define more than the FLAC conversion setting IE 12? like, provide the ability to use -e and -p?

and possible remap the -e flac default to the ffmpeg equilivent?

Re: Metadata server?

I mean that I want it embedded in the MKV metadata., for offline use and it makes less of a mess on the filesystem.

Metadata server?

I think it would be cool if we could somehow automatically download metadata for our movies, instead of having to manually entering it, and maybe even subtitles too? Is there any way we could go about this, like obviously Mike probably wouldn't want to do this, but there has to be SOMETHING we can do?

Re: Hmm, MakeMKV works fine when I deselect audio...

I remember Mike mentioning a confirmed bug in 1.8.0 that involves using FLAC audio encoding. In one case reported, it would simply stop at 99% done. The work around was to not use FLAC until 1.8.1 comes out. Oh, that's interesting, thanks for the tip. In the mean time I'll work on my conversion pro...

Yes, I've done that, it works fine, as I've stated before, but that isn't a permanent solution.

I'm using a custom profile, which I pasted above, and yes it works fine when I don't use my profile, so there must be something wrong with my profile.

it ripped just fine once I deselected the LPCM audio, and eac3to converted it just fine, then on top of that, FLAC recompressed it fine too.

Hmm, MakeMKV works fine when I deselect audio...

So, there must be something wrong with my conversion profile, will one of you look it over and tell me what may be wrong? I only kept the main MakeMKV and audio sections, to make it easier to read. Can I use direct flac command line options in my conversion profile? <?xml version="1.0" enc...

That's what I'm saying, the first part of the log (the SCSI part) is MakeMKV trying to read the Music CD in the drive, everything else is from the disc rip on the hdd, and I have NO IDEA what's going on.

Which DTSDecoderDLL.dll for 6.1 AND 7.1 decoding?

When I set MakeMKV to convert DTS-HD MA to FLAC it either doesn't work at all, or the pitch of the audio gets really really high, which version should I use to avoid these issues? I usually use the .8 version. :/
