Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Dv is really not that important to me, not enough to use a different container and loose lossless audio, if i want to watch dv i’ll just put the disc in my oppo, not a fan of the work around Sent from my iPhone Xs Max using Tapatalk Pro That's great for you, that has an Oppo. Part of the reason I'm...

Re: The House with a clock in its walls - dump
The process for properly submitting dumps has been dicussed countless of times over all over the forum and it’s clearly mentioned in the FAQ. Read this: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=18427&p=67868&hilit=Studios#p67868 And this: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic...

Re: LG BH10LS38 Silent Play
Already discussed and the forum member received a response from LG directly: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17399 This functionality has nothing to do with MakeMKV. Or Windows for that matter. LG built it into its drives. EDIT: Oh and VMs will most likely not work either. Some...

Don’t feed the troll guys. Or clearly he is completely clueless and uninformed on how things really work. Like many. Either way... just don’t feed it.

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
ASUS BW-16D1HT ASUS BW-16D1HT downgrade will have the same opportunities like Pioneer BLU-RAY BDR 211 EBK-BDR-211-EBK ? Or a better but more expensive option will be Pioneer's choice. Pioneer drive support has already been discussed multiple times and addressed by Mike himself (owner/developer of M...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
That serial number that you keep adding at the end of the part number is meaningless to this process and to anyone here. Just buy a new drive. Make sure it's new, as in, manufactured sometime between 2017-2018, it's coming from trusted retailer or one of the members in this forum that provide trustw...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
Can I buy this drive? Or i look for another model? Oh you haven't even purchased this drive yet. LOL. This guy. No, don't buy it. The manufactured date is too close to the REQUIRED date limit and it may be from a batch that does NOT support UHD BDs. In other words, the drive is too old. It may NOT ...

Asus BW-16D1HT 90DD01E0-B30000 Uhd friendly ? Downgrade possible? Thanks ;) Not enough information. When you load MakeMKV against this drive, what is the information presented by MakeMKV? Three posts above yours there is a post of what this information looks like as posted by another member (Osiris...

Re: UHD support
Hey Mike, I have sent in several German AACS Keys of UHDs (like SICARIO 2, NO WAY OUT, DEADPOOL 2) - the keys_hashed.txt was updated twice since then, but I can't still open the UHDs. Tried it on an iMac - if that is important. Any tips? Read these: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&...

Re: UHD drives
I do keep my Win10 system up to date with patches. Is it possible somehow that Microsoft disabled this capability? In addition, no. Windows does not have anything to do with this. Skipping to the end of the thread does you no good. The very specific requirements to support UHD BDs have been discuss...

Re: Attention. Ver 2.1 protection out
That is short and simple. If you are not pirating/sharing the content across the internet illegally, you have nothing to worry about.
And if you happen to live in a country where backing up this content is perfectly legal for personal use, then even less to worry about.

Re: Attention. Ver 2.1 protection out
Would this trigger any “phone home” for UHD rips that have this new protection? Do I need to worry? In short, no. The backups I've worked with have nothing crazy going on with them. However, as it has been discussed in detail in this very thread you cannot decrypt these discs with MakeMKV just yet ...

Re: Terminator 2 Judgment Day
Studios can release as many AACS keys for their content/discs/movie releases as they please. Nothing is limiting them from doing this (aside from costs, but it’s not like they are going broke). That is why you can clearly see multiple keys in the hash key file for example, but that does not mean all...

Re: WANTED: Results of UHD Rips with Dolby Vision
It could be argued that there are no media players that support DV because the containers they support also do not support it. It's a chicken/egg scenario, and I'll argue that the egg (container format) needs to come first in this case. Well.. that’s the entire point of this thread and one which ha...
