Re: Blu-rays with extra video in m2ts files
I may have to go back to the editing method, my mkv's created with mkvtoolnix processing the mpls have terrible audio delay. Could you sort that out or does it still hold? Did you notify the mkvtoolnix dev? Apologies for not noticing this post. I have reported the audio sync issue with mpls process...

BD+ regression in 1.16.4 and 1.16.5
Disc: Cyrano de Bergerac blu ray Windows 10, Asus BW-16D1HT on 3.10 libre drive firmware Issue: makemkv versions 1.16.4 and 1.16.5 both fail to open the disc, they hang at the "processing BD+ code". As I had previously ripped the disc without issue I worked my way back through versions of ...

Re: Star Trek 4Ks (1-4)
I'm having trouble with getting forced subtitles to work on TMP. MakeMKV keeps suggesting that all the forced subtitle tracks are entry. Anyone else having the same problem? TMP and Search for Spock both have "forced" subtitles in a separate track. I figured which ones by loading the disc...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT scratched UHD Disc
this happened to me not long ago, my Asus badly damaged a Chernobyl UHD disc, deep circular scratch, not even my LG BU40N could get past it. I bought a new Asus on the assumption that the drive should probably not be used again (I like its read speed for my blu rays), but I'll probably stick with th...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
[/quote] ok sorry for the late reply, it took me a while to check this pattern but indeed, DV black level is wrong compared to HDR10. It is very obvious in my pitch-black room. I decided to check it out after noticing the ugly raised black on ''All man kind'' on my Shield. Then I went back comparing...

Re: Blu-rays with extra video in m2ts files
I may have to go back to the editing method, my mkv's created with mkvtoolnix processing the mpls have terrible audio delay. Would be great if this could be fixed in makemkv itself.

Re: Blu-rays with extra video in m2ts files
sorry, I was just referring to the fact that at first, when I dragged an mpls file onto the input window in mkvtoolnix GUI, nothing happened. I then moved the BDMV to a higher level in the directory (e.g. C:\TVshowname\BDMV) and then the drag and drop of mpls files worked. Guess this is an mkvtoolni...

Re: Blu-rays with extra video in m2ts files
ok, I stumbled across a clean workaround. At first I used mkvtoolnix to post-edit my mkv's, a pretty clunky way of doing it which would get old very quickly. I then discovered that mkvtoolnix can read mpls files, and unlike makemkv, it parses them correctly for this type of disc. On Windows, mkvtool...

Re: Blu-rays with extra video in m2ts files
having issues with Columbo series 1, playing the disc in my Panny player is fine, ripped versions have redundant video stuck on the start and end.

Re: Columbo series 1
thanks, I tried tsMuxer from a full-disc backup and at first it was promising, since in the GUI I appeared to have playlist entries with the correct runtimes, but the exported video had the test card stuck on the front and blank filler at the end. so perhaps tsMuxer has the same problem. For now it ...

Columbo series 1
Odd issue, opening Columbo series 1 disc 1 on blu ray in 1.16.3 has 3 titles with run-times 78:27, 78:25 and 78:20. the ripped files have pre- and post-episode test-card/blank filler that is not there when I play the disc in a regulary bluray player, which reports the correct episode runtimes as 75:...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
The OK news: The Infuse app on the Apple TV doesn't recognize it which means it's likely the developer will get around to it with the next major version due soon. Don't think it's up to the Infuse developer, or possible for them to do it, since the ATV does not have the correct DV profile support?

Re: DTS-HD HRA to FLAC
Scratch that, this is the one you want <trackSettings input="DTSHD-multi"> <output outputSettingsName="flac-fast" defaultSelection="$app_DefaultSelectionString,+sel:true"> </output> </trackSettings> Capture.PNG

Re: DTS-HD HRA to FLAC
The standard FLAC profile only has a subset of available conversion options. I added a few to mine to give more coverage, but I can't find the right syntax to make it work with DTS HRA. For example, the following is valid profile entry, but does not enable FLAC conversion for DTS HRA. I tried a few ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Great to hear that x700 plays DV from the bd structure :D I had S6700 which also supported bd structure, but the screen used to freeze for few seconds while forwarding/rewinding. Does this mean it's better to go for sony? Unfortunately i can't purchase ugoos or minix at my place. I just tried the t...
