I was referring to running the "3D MKV files" through mkvmerge to remove the track that way, not run the already-processed files through it.
Personally, I've never tried opening an MKV file with MakeMKV, because there are other tools to work with. MakeMKV is to get the video off the disk.

Re: "Jackie" and "Assassin's Creed" blu ray no FUT...
Mike does not typically post "it's fixed!" messages. When I've had a NO FUTs issue, I just try the rip every few days after submitting the file.
If you do get a message from him, it will usually be to get more information... which means you gave him a brain twister.

Re: Question on removing MVC stream from a MKV
You can use mkvmerge from mkvtoolnix to copy the files without the MVC track, or use something like handbrake to recode the video more efficiently, and it will ignore the MVC track for you.

Until the encryption is broken, nothing does "lossless rips".

Re: BluRay ----> normal dvd resolution
Not by itself; MakeMKV just copies what is on the BD to the hard drive, decrypting it along the way.
There are other tools that will recode the video for lower resolution, such as handbrake, which is available over at handbrake.fr for free.

Re: Not able to copy RED2 or Phantom Menace DVDs
RED2 has lots of fake files on it, but you usually don't get SCSI errors. And many people have ripped the disk, so it isn't a general MakeMKV issue, aside from finding out which title is NOT fake on the particular version of the disk you bought. Without seeing the debug log information, it's hard to...

Re: Moana BluRay - Backup Failed
What results do you get if you use Open and Save to MKV instead of backup? More information is displayed during the open process, and it will often narrow down which file is the problem. The backup will fail if ANY file isn't readable; Save to MKV will save whatever is readable. Unless it is failing...

Re: episode order
You mean, without watching the files?
No. You're at the mercy of the disk authors. Most do reasonable things, some do not.
For example, Funimation and Sentai put the episodes in order about 98% of the time. They screw them up just about the time I stop looking for them to screw it up.

Re: DTS Audio Lag
Does your player "do" DTS well, in general?
I've seen issues where the player has lags on certain files, but other players work fine. What are you using for playback?

Re: Manual mode for mkv-files
If you have a text editor (Notepad works, but I prefer UltraEdit, for a LOT of reasons), you can set up the first "break-up" and use the GUI's "copy to clipboard" button. Paste the command line into the editor multiple times - once for each chapter. You really only need to change...

Re: Manual mode for mkv-files
Study the command syntax a bit on mkvmerge (the GUI interface will show you the syntax) and you can make a batch file to split/name files, and even modify meta data. I don't use it as much now as I used to, but, prior to getting devices that would handle BD subtitles, I'd merge the subtitles from DV...

Re: Home Recorded DVDS
If you have a drive that can read the disks, that would be the one to do the ripping with. I have found that Bluray drives have problems with some DVDs. I have multiple DVD drives available for when the BD drives can't quite read the disk. Sometimes, I have to drag out the old Sony external I got wh...

Re: Manual mode for mkv-files
Have you looked at mkvtoolnix? mkvmerge from that tool set can split MKV files on chapter boundaries.
