Re: The Jungle Book 2016 3d
File 00800.mpls was added as title #1 This is the correct playlist for this disc. My source is already ripped into the folders. AACS directory not present, assuming unencrypted disc Is your "source" a MakeMKV backup made from the original disc? If yes, can you go back to the disc, and try...

Re: New ASUS BW-16D1HT with new 4K discs
one single "AV synchronization issue" message. However, when I try to play the MKV, it's a black screen, with occasional frozen video frames Hi Amy, It sounds as if your issues are not related to AV Sync, but rather to playback of 4K MKVs. Have you successfully ripped and played 4K MKVs i...

Re: The Jungle Book 2016 3d
That's very strange. I have no issues with this disc, from the US Collector's Edition (I imagine discs from other regions are similar). Are you using the latest version of MakeMKV, 1.15.4? This is what I see when I start MakeMKV with the 3D Blu-ray in my drive: https://i.imgur.com/H4URHna.png And th...

Re: Separating ripped files into diferent episodes
The first four titles in your screenshot - two of them have 6 chapters, the other two have 7 chapters, they're all around 9 GB in size - if you rip those 4 titles, you'll get 4 separate files, with each file being 1 episode. The length of each file/episode here varies between 40 to 43 minutes long. ...

Re: Missing "bcrypt.dll" on Windows XP.
I'll walk you through it using the old version of MinGW ... Please let me know if it works, or if you have trouble. Worked perfectly, thank you very much for making this, and taking the time to write out the instructions! Out of curiosity… why continue to run a Windows XP machine only for ripping? ...

Re: Are AV synchronization issues a problem?
Obviously for movies it's less likely to happen. A lot of movies use "seamless branching" with multiple segments, in which case it's highly likely to happen. AV sync issue in stream X at XX:XX:XX.XXX with duration of X.XXXms : ... ...which indicates a real problem with the rip (potential ...

100 is the theatrical cut. 101 is the extended cut. 102 is the theatrical cut along with an "In-Movie Experience" including video director commentary clips, still galleries, and storyboards * * I haven't looked at it in much detail, but it seems that it's probably all controlled via Java, ...

Re: DTS-HD MA - Why are MA and Core both selectable ?
Yeah, I also use the -sel:(core) selection rule. I can see the argument for having it included as a default for new users when they first install MakeMKV. (On a side note, as someone who has done UI stuff and thus always notes it, the child/nested layout still makes the most sense to me, after I fir...

Re: Creating a MKV file from the UHD Copy
'The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted, failed to open disc' From the stickied UHD FAQ : MakeMKV says that "the volume key is unknown for this disc"? MakeMKV produces an AACS .tgz dump file whenever you try to open a disc for which the key is unknown, and will...

Re: Possible to rip and include "burned in" sub-titles?
Burned-in subtitles are, by definition, burned into the video. Since MakeMKV copies the video stream without touching it, if the disc has burned in the subtitles, they will be burned in already. The other option is that instead of burning them in, the studio might have included them as separate or a...

Re: Completely Confused
IIRC, BD3D2MK3D has a function to swap the eyes if they’re the wrong way around. Assuming you’ve selected both the AVC and MVC tracks for ripping, there should be no issues from MakeMKV’s side. MakeMKV is simply copying the video streams off the disc into the MKV container, so as far as I know, ther...

Re: Completely Confused
You need to select the nested MVC track, which is the 3D second eye track. The wording has changed a bit, but “MVC” is the key term. No downgrade needed.

Re: AV synchronization issues on almost every UHD disc?
All I want to know, even if this can't be fixed, is a detailed account on which titles are affected, and which ones MAKEMKV is giving a false alert. The conditions of false alerts etc have already been clearly communicated and are easily determined when you rip a disc. To create a list of every tit...

Re: how do we retreave the AAC keys
If you're interested in non-MakeMKV usage of keys (since MakeMKV handles all that stuff internally so that you don't have to), then the utility that you want is FindVUK:
